Mac Client [Updating your WZ Files Manually]

As suggested by Oldie, here's a thread regarding how to download individual WZ files on a MAC:

Simple Steps to Manually Update your WZ Files [Mac]

1. Head over to the announcements and go to the appropriate up-to-date patch.

In this case I will use the November patch as an example.

2. Click on http://royals.ms/downloads/wz/​

A page looking like so will pop up:

3. What you want to download will be anything under the description entailing that month's patch.

i.e November Patch; you should already have files under the description of: "Original" and "July Patch", downloaded at their time of occurrence.

4. After downloading each file, head over to your MapleRoyals client and right click it, then click on the option: "Show Contents"

5. Now you want to place these files into your MapleRoyals client to manually patch your client.

Go into the Maplestory folder, double click on "drive_c".

Double click on the "Nexon" folder

Lastly, double click on "Maplestory"

Your Maplestory Folder should contain files that look similar to this:

6. Drag your newly downloaded WZ files into this folder (Maplestory)

**A screen will pop-up, as you drag the new files in, asking the following:

Make sure to click on Replace.

7. You are finished updating your files. Happy Mapling!​

Why would I choose this option over redownloading the full MAC client?

Maybe the download speeds for the client are taking a bit more time than you initially thought it would. Replacing just the updated files tends to be a lot faster. Nonetheless, this is an alternative: Food for thought.

What if I decided I did not want the newest patch files?

The Terms and Conditions, which you agree to upon signing up, entail this rule:

Knowingly using outdated game files more than 14 days after a game patch is posted.
Punishment: Ban until files are updated. 7 day ban if false claim of updated files are made​

You will be either be: , , or at this kind of punishment and I'm sure you would much rather be . So make sure to update your files!​

I have the client but I'm not sure how to get on to play... can I get some help?

I just downloaded all the December Patch .wz files. I think that didn't include the Sound.wz that your guide shows.
It would prolly clear it up for some people if you just said download the .wz files from December Patch only.

Yup!! If I remember correctly, that rule was added after I got banned for knowingly using outdated wz files!! : )
