Hey Royallers, What is your favourite Maplestory Monster and why? Format (example) My Favourite Monster : Octopus Reason : I love takoyaki
My favorite Monster would be Eruwater It's not necessarily nostalgic to me but the first time I saw it, It reminded me of one of my favorite old school anime. S-something about this green hair... *web noises*
My Favourite Monster : Headless Horseman Reason : They seem fun to hunt, so i would do it a lot to a point i would get this good feeling every time i found one.
White Desert Bunny They look cute and sound cute, and I used to spend hours killing them in GMS for no reason :3
to make long story short, back in early 2006(i think it was this year, not too shure) i was fooling around in cash shop and i saw mini kargo, idk why, i fell in love with taht little thing, and promised myself some day i was going to have one(thanks trade system to make my dream came true)....months(or years, memories way to blured)later i was exploring sleepywood and i found this you cant imagine what i felt when i saw that thing, in adition to that, afew days b4 i met wild kargo, i saw the withe lady of perion video, and found the creepypasta of her and "bob, the snail", i loved the story, but ofc i didnt believe a shit of it, i was alrdy exited about wild d kargo, but when i found bob..OMG, it creeped the hell out of me, thats the strongest feeling i ever had playing maplestory...wild kargo and bob, are my dearest memory of all times in this game, and my favs by much. P.D. Yes this is this short version, ive talked about this with a friend for over 2 hours one day...
I remember the first time I ran into an Orange Mushroom in 2007, being the game's mascot, I thought if I manage to catch it somehow I would get some power ups (like Super Mario Bros) but oh how I was sorely mistaken. One touch was all it takes. I felt betrayed. But still Orange Mushroom is still my favorite MS monster, it's a love first sight.
There's tons of monsters that I like in Maple, and one of them would be the CMS version of Leader A and B because of how they actually went extra length on redrawing and censoring stuffs, because guns and a katana is a no-no apparently (the cat paws is an instant win for me) .
The very first mob that I hit missed when the first time I got tp-ed to Ariant by Manji and stuck there. He is a big boss for me back then...
When I first started playing MapleStory, probably back in 2006ish, only Victoria Island and El Nath were out. I remember how it was such a journey to travel all the way down deep into the Victoria Dungeon, and I would travel down there just to see how far I could get. Seeing the Wild Kargo in the depths of the dungeon was always a thrill, and I remember, as a Level 4x Hunter, using a hundred arrows or so on just one of them. I wanted to see the +240 Exp pop up. It felt like such an accomplishment to take one of them down. Bowmen were masters of accuracy, and we could hit monsters 15 levels above us! (Creative Story Mode Enabled) However, even deeper into the dungeon, I came across another. One of legend. Before I played MapleStory, I played a lot of Medieval-type games like Baldur's Gate & Diablo. Actually seeing one of the great monsters of legend inside MapleStory was not only exciting, it was terrifying! I used to hang on the ropes in the Sanctuary and just watch this....creature of legend prowl the deepest recesses of the Maple World, just like in Greek Mythology. Am I really seeing this? Would I dare to attack such a mythical being? Could I even hit it? How dangerous was it? Death would be my answer plenty of times. Not even a Hot Dog Supreme was enough to heal from just one touch. And if I wanted to hit him, this would happen...... Spoiler: *Gasp* Trying to get away from one of them once they started to rain lightning down upon your unfortunate soul was nerve wracking! 700+ damage each time! And the lightning bolts would hardly ever miss! I couldn't get away once I was on the floor! Climbing the rope was no good! The lightning was so accurate, it would almost always knock me off the rope, right back into the lair of the myth itself.....right where it wanted me. There was no escape.... (Creative Story Mode Disabled) OK, I think I got the creative story writing out of my system. But seriously, for those of you who played in the very early MapleStory days, who else was terrified of the Tauromacis!? Not to mention how Awesome his Golden Eclipse Spear was!
