Comprehensive list of changes since the new source

    Someone asked in the shoutbox if there was a place they could check all the class balances and changes since they're new to the server. I thought that was a great idea and wondered why it didn't exist yet.

    Class changes/balances:
    When the new source came out, the skills were adjusted to use the v72 skill table: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/patch-notes-05-01-2017.87186/
    After that, these changes happened:
    Pirates:
    • In update #13: Corsairs battleship damage taken was reduced by a factor of 10
    • In update #48: Bucc's Barrage and Dragon Strike skills had their skill delays lowered
    • In update #50
      • Maurader - Energy Charge:
        • Energy will now be gained for each hit to a monster, instead of being capped to once per monster and attack.
        • Energy Charge will now properly show the charging animation in first and third person.
      • Buccaneer - Speed Infusion:
        • Range increased from 500x300px to 600x400px.
      • Corsair - Rapid Fire:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 170% at max level to scaling up to 200% at max level.
      [*]In update #60: Transform and Super Transform now have a cooldown of 60 seconds (previously 1 second)
      [*]In update #65: Snatch range was adjusted to match animation
      [*]In #66.2: While transformed, haste will buff buccs, and when haste gets debuffed, buccs will go back to the transformation speed
      [*]In #71: Corsairs mounting speed for battleship was sped up to match mounting speed of ever other mount in the game
      [*]In #71: Total Crash was changed to be a party buff that allows party members to hit through weapon cancel (in 71.1, it was adjusted to have a 75% success rate)
      [*]In #71: Marksman boost got a buff where mastery at max level is now 100%
    Warriors:
    • Lots here and always changing
      • Fighter - Power Guard:
        • Duration has been changed from scaling up to 90 seconds at max level to scaling up to 180 seconds at max level.
      • Page’s - Power Guard
        • Duration has been changed from scaling up to 90 seconds at max level to scaling up to 180 seconds at max level.
      • Dragon Knight - Power Crash
        • Added the ability to nullify Weapon Def Up, Magic Def Up and Magic Att Up.
        • Range increased from 400x200px to 600x400px.
        • In update #58, the number of mobs affected is now 15
      • Crusader - Armor Crash:
        • This was change din update #50 but reverted in update #54
      • White Knight - Magic Crash:
        • Magic Crash has been renamed to Total Crash.
        • Crashed both Weapon and Magic Cancel as of update #54
        • in update #58, the number of mobs affected is now 15
      • White Knight - Fire Charge: Sword:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 120% at max level to scaling up to 130% at max level.
      • White Knight - Flame Charge: BW:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 120% at max level to scaling up to 130% at max level.
      • White Knight - Ice Charge: Sword:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 110% at max level to scaling up to 130% at max level.
      • White Knight - Blizzard Charge: BW:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 110% at max level to scaling up to 130% at max level.
      • White Knight - Thunder Charge:Sword:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 125% at max level to scaling up to 130% at max level.
      • White Knight - Lightning Charge: BW:
        • Damage has been changed from scaling up to 125% at max level to scaling up to 130% at max level.
      • Paladin - Blast:
        • Vertical hitbox range has been increased from 60px above the character’s feet to 90px above the character’s feet and 30px below the character’s feet.
    • In update #68:
      • Dark Knight’s Berserk has been buffed:
        • lv 26: 188% damage to 190%
        • lv 27: 191% damage to 195%
        • lv 28: 194% damage to 200%
        • lv 29: 197% damage to 205%
        • lv 30: 200% damage to 210%
      • Dark Knight’s Achilles will now reduce incoming damage by 20% when maxed, up from 15%.

    Magicians:
    • In update #50: Chain lightning was buffed to 210 damage at max level and Paralyze was buffed to 240 damage at max level
    • In update #54: holy shield protects parties against stuns
    • In update #65: Infinity now lasts 120 seconds when maxed
      • in #65.1: elemental amplification scales down MP usage until maxed, which ends up at 100%
    Thieves:
    • In update #50: Meso guard maxed lasts 180 seconds, boomerang step can now be used near edges of platforms/maps/slopes
    • In update #65: Recharging stars became more expensive
      • Shadow Shifter was nerfed to 20% rate for NLs and 30% rate for shadowers when maxed
      • Alchemist nerfed from 150% to 125% when maxed
      • Assassinate range increased forward and downward slightly
      • Smokescreen duration increased to 90 seconds from 60 seconds when maxed
      • Boomerang step range increased downwards slightly
      • in #65.1, shadow stars has a 1 second cooldown (so you don't accidentally double tap to cast it twice ;) )
    • Sometime a long time ago (I don't remember when), Assassinate was buffed to do 950% damage and boomerang step was buffed to do 600% damage
      • You also don't have to charge up assassinate damage in dark sight to do maximum damage
    Archers:
    • Strife for Marksman was buffed to 125% damage
    • In update #65.1: Marksman boost maxed incresased to +15 weapon attack
    • In update #68: Snipe does damage through weapon cancel

    Significant bug fixes:
    Bugs that change game-play (or affects it visually that makes it different than the original Maplestory), not putting little bugs (or unintentional bugs) because there are a LOT.
    • In update #3: "Fixed a d/c issue relating to the skill Heavens Hammer." - I think this is when they changed the skill animation for Heavens Hammer
    • In update #7: If you fall out of a map, it will properly rewarp you back into that map (neat right?)

    New Content:
    Things that make this server unique (different than the original Maplestory) that wasn't a bug fix
    • In update #8: the ~mapowner command was introduced, you can read the T&C about why this is important
    • In update #11: The number of channels increased from 1 to 20
      • Bosses had nx drop temporarily removed - readded in update #47
    • In update #16: Turning in the horntail prequest will give you 2 transforming potions instead of transforming you immediately
    • In update #23: The spawns for these maps were buffed, some of them didn't get buffed in this patch as intended but buffed in #25 to fix that

    • In update #34: ~servertime was added
    • In update #40: Area bosses respawn timer no longer resets when the server restarts
    • In update #42: AP Resets now how a level requirement of 50 to purchase
    • In update #44: Ninja castle was added
    • In update #45: Introduction of the fast travel ticket (since boat rides were fixed)
    • In update #46: TP rocks get the lvl 50 requirement to purchase
    • In update #47: Area boss respawn timers became what they are today
    • In update #48: The lounge button was introduced as well as the B coin, also Horntail expedition was enabled
    • In update #50: Weddings were enabled and APQ gets the 4-runs a day restriction
      • Also 9 spirit egg quest can now be repeated
      • Monster eraser quest was added
    • In update #54: Water from the Spring of Youth quest gets added as well as other HP buffs (hp on belts for example)
      • Shanghai Wai-tan and Lushan Town become available
    • In update #56: CWKPQ was introduced
      • #56.1 implemented ~buyback
    • In update #57: MCPQ (or CPQ) 1 and 2 became available
    • In update #59: The quest “Kenta’s Advice” will now give your pet the ability to walk at the same speed as your character.
      • Bosses take increased elemental weakness damage
    • In update #60: Malasyia becomes available
      • Also the monster book was added (rip all that grinding we did before right?)
      • Ariant PQ was added
      • CWKPQ Thief room is now doable for chief bandits and shadowers
    • In update #61: Thailand floating market is introduced
    • In update #62: Neo Tokyo was introduced
    • In update #65: Lyka no longer drops Chaos Scrolls (yeah, we used to camp this for those who didn't know)
      • Chaos scroll drops from Zakuum instead
      • Boss now drops Shogun earrings
    • In update #67: Card collector medals had their hp/mp buffed to what they are today
      • RJPQ was added
      • Level 150+ repeatable hp quest was added
      • Safe adventures quest was added
      • Some level caps of some PQs were removed, and some boss cards became available to higher leveled players wanting to complete their monster books
    • In update #70: Quest Virtuoso medal is added
      • Ellin forest is added
      • LPQ's broken glasses buffed
      • Introduced a way to craft white scrolls
    • In update #71: A platform in the Auf Haven map was adjusted to be slightly lower
      • Also the laser map can no longer be bypassed with dark sight

    MISC interesting updates:
    • Remember when trading wasn't working? In update #12, it became functional
    • In update #16: Cpt Latanica, Krexel, Zakuum, and Bodyguard became functional as well as LPQ, HTPQ, and El Nath PQ
    • In update #19: The Cash Shop became functional
    • In update #41: WS/CS and crafting items rate from gach was increased
    • In update #50: "Whiting" exp is now a thing, it used to be based on the last person who hit the mob, now it's based on who does the most damage.
    • In update #54: The pin/pic system became fully functional to what it is today (minus control panel)
    • In update #58:
      • Items dropped by mobs that are killed by summons will no longer be lootable by pets.
        • NOTE: This change has been made to reduce the effectiveness of summon botting.
      • Chaos Scrolls and White Scrolls are no longer droppable.
        • NOTE: This change has been made to improve how movement of these items is logged.
    • Update #65 introduced the new client resolution as well as a bunch of client fixes
    • In update #71:
      • You can now jump down in Zakum
      • Duku maps spawn rates were lowered and mob spawn locations were adjusted
      • Leprechauns now have their attack!
      • Weapon/Magic cancel cooldown/duration was adjusted
      • You can now earn token of teamworks for completing party quests
      • Skills that weren't intended to be available in certain party quests were restricted
      • Winners podium changed to be one-of-a-kind and untradeable
    • In update #72:
      • party exp bonus was buffed from +5% to +10%
      • added abilities to consume potions while mounted
      • added a teleport across mushroom shrine
      • Reuel's daily hp quest is now repeatable without a cooldown until you reach a certain minimum hp threshhold (of 9.5k potential hp, which is enough HP to do most of the content in game with HB)

    I would love to keep this as up to date as possible, but we'll see. Let me know if I missed anything that you think is important and should be added.
