Simple pool here just to see the current overall feedbacks on the server from basically everybody who wants to share their opinion. What would you guys change, add or remove from the server? I'd definitely like to see an added (or buffed) way to wash hp. That'd help every new players and encourage them to try out mapleroyals. Changing the leech meta could be something nice, too. Something like the leecher need to attack in order to get exp? Just an opinion from a random player here. What's your thoughts? :3
Same in my case, it's actually easy to do it in the game's coding, i saw it on another server and it cost 25 rp, but there were some glitches, for example, if the character was a female wearing the female clothes, then after the change as a male the character would still continue to wear them, if the code could be properly corrected then the clothes would be removed automatically and if there was no room in the equip tab the npc would give a message to the player to release some room, the other glitch is that the character continued to have the same hair and eyes from the previous gender after the change was made, that would have to be corrected as well, for example, to give the character the possibility to choose between a common hair and a common eye, like the ones you choose at the character creation screen, so, the player not only would have to spend 25 rp for the change, but also 6 rp for new eyes and 6 rp for new hair, for a total of 37 rp, i think it's doable, and only one gender change per character, only few people would probably do it because of the cost, but it's interesting, it could help certain players a lot even if they are just a handful, and does not hurt the server in regards to the equipment, the more updates the better
Allow males to buy female NX costumes (and vice versa) so I don't have to remake one of the character in my account to female T.T
A beauty salon system where you can save faces/hairs and change them whevener you want. Give free 3 slots and expansion slot be made purchasable on donators section. More content to explore and grind on, like Mushroom Kingdom and Kerning Square with custom changes made to fit the server (so no one can abuse the crane machine in Kerning Square, for example), more World Tour area such as Ximending and Night Market, Golden Temple and the exclusive Coke Town, content from newer Maple that could fit in Royals setting such as Chryse Floating Island or EMS Veracent. NX items, hairs and faces be made unisex for more character creation abilities. More filler events, such as pre-BB EMS National Day events, GMS/MSEA Independence Day, or events such as the Fairy Tale event (the one with Jack and Beanstalk stuffs), Find Master M event (the one with Agent NPCs and all), Dolphin Island or events like the ones in newer Maplestory that focuses more on storytelling such as Detective Pepe Agency, Haunted Manor or Madhouse event, or events such as Ellinel Fairy Full Moon, Henesys Night Troupe or Corona Festival for references and ideas, or custom filler events like I suggested here (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/new-seasonal-event-idea.194699/) New seasonal events, no more recycling old stuffs and all for CNY/Valentine/Easter/Halloween/Christmas with new contents and new rewards. As for Anniversary, would love to see a set themes to be given to make Anniversary event more interesting, like Maplestory 14th Street, 15th Pixel Party, 16th Hotel Maple, 17th Blooming Forest for references and ideas. Game/Identity/Nostalgic breaking suggestion Remove random drop from boss runs (instance/expedition/PQ type), make it event style reward, which direct reward tokens/items into inventories of all active participants. Reward tokens used for exchanging for a range of item selections relevant for the content being run. Encourage larger group runs since all participants receive the same rewards regardless of number of players. Moving the meta towards time efficient runs (large group) as opposed to income efficient runs (solo/small party). *Now bring your body-pillows with pitchforks printed images and come fight me

Pq should be 1,5x more rewarding then the best leeching method regardless of funding. It feels like the game is turning into mulestory and end-game players from past era are dropping out of the Community. This is going on for a long period and Will eventually be lethal to the server.
Add New classes! While I'm in favour of adding more end-game content, paradoxically is also speeding up the stagnation and decline of the server as players can train more in a day. I think adding more classes would help revitalise some aspects of the game again. Candidates for consideration: Cygnus Knights, Dual Blade, Aran, Evan and Cannoneers. 2. More GMs... by the time the staff get to these applications, some players will already give up the wait and move on. Or minimally, provide players who has applied for the role an expected timeline instead of aimlessly wait. 3. The staff should have the ability to switch or have two forum accounts. One for personal use and one for official use. I understand some of the staff members often want to participate in community suggestion and discussion, but refrain from joining as they fear they might look biased, anything that they say is taken as a fact or their opinion is 100% reflection of the entire staff team. Change Reduce the price of recharging Throwing Star or certain stars are level restricted and reduce the drop-rate of them. Rethink the Luk requirement for Mage related equipment. It is strange for me to see characters in mid-game and above still wearing their beginner clothes. 3. Update the ban or block message: I would rewrite it as This connection seems to be blocked, trying restarting your router or using another internet connection. Your account seems to be ban, please make a ban appeal at https://royals.ms/forum/forums/ban-appeal.8/ to find out why. This give players a clear indication what is the issue, and what is the next step. Saving time for both the staff and members of community answering players who encounter such message. 4. As the server population starts to decline, I would push the staff to make punishments much more lenient. Which I have previously discussed it over here. For simplicity sake, I will just copy what I wrote here. Spoiler: What I said and suggested Okay... alright...Let me hijack this post for a bit and let me try to be as objective as much as possible and also explain why I think the essentials of this feedback is worth considering. The Elephant in the Room First of all, we have to address the elephant in the room. This feedback was made by someone who was permanently banned and continue to be bump by another player who is also permanently banned. There is no way around it, for especially for players and the staff members who has being around this server for quite some time, that this is not new and in fact we might even feel we shouldn't put much thoughts into it given how often a feedback about the Terms and Conditions is written just because the thread owner was banned/punished or someone they know is punished. We might feel these players might not be sincerely concern for the wellbeing of the server, but only trying to use the feedback section as an opportunity to overturn their ban or rant about the server for n number of times. I will list some of these examples below. About Ban (4 Jun 2020), the owner was banned for account sharing. The Admins (5 May 2020), the owner was banned for 30 days for making a soliciting account trading. This server is dying. Here's why (9 Sep 2018), the owner was banned for account sharing. Hence, we have to be clear on this, so we are aware that we might have some negative biasness against this feedback. So let's address the idea and not the person itself. Aging Playerbase This is no secret, MapleRoyals is aging. This is an issue that I have personally witness plaguing other old school MapleStory private servers and is this not just a specially unique problem here. So yes, even other servers will get "xxx is dying and this is how the staff can fix it" and which I have also gone to elaborate on some lengths on the reasons for the decline over here, which I will summarise here again. 1. Limitation of Content: Because MapleRoyals is focused mainly on old-school content, content that the server will get is limited or controlled. Like no potential scrolls, level 275 or flash jump Bishops. 2. Aging playerbase: Most players here are considered young adults age (See Census 2020 Results and Census 2017 Results), so not everyone can afford to commit as much to the game as they want to because of school/starting a family/jobs/bills etc. 3. Fulfilling their dreams/goals: Once players get their fill and cross their childhood dream, whether that is finally challenging Horntail or reaching 200, they will tick off their bucket list and quit. Just take a look at this chart. While we are not exactly dying, but the trends do not lie, we are declining overtime. View attachment 137316 Increasing difficulty to lure new players Private servers are a tough and competitive market, new private servers are popping out every few months and each has their own unique selling points. Furthermore, there are increasingly restrictions where the server can advertise itself, (as seen with Youtube and Twitch copyright strikes, a dead Twitter account *cough cough someone please update*). Making it increasingly difficult for potential new players to stumbled across and find us, as social media does contribute significantly to the server's discoverability. It means which we will have adapt our strategies and strengthen existing channels. Making it ever more important to retain existing players, as they also provide an observed measurement of promoting the server to others. Direction Hence, I proposed that we can relook at certain offense and can afford to be more lenient. Taking the example on how this specific server does it (in case nobody wants to read it, I have left a super simplified summary table below), instead of a permanent ban (you are banned entirely as a person for life), we could opt for account ban (that specific account is banned) which is still harsh and forces them to reset their unfair gains but at the same time we are retaining them. View attachment 137326 Another is for vote abuse cases, we could opt for the same or another idea was previously done by Tim, which the abuser doesn't vote for a certain number of days, as seen here and here according to their severity of abuse. The way I see it, this way we can continue to keep people who really wants to play old-school MapleStory, instead of losing them to other servers and later promoting them instead of us. As what my previously lecturer told me... "It is far more easier to retain a customer than acquiring a new customer.''

I definitely don't want to see newer classes. Cygnus knights were cool, and I wouldn't mind those since they cap at 120, but Evan was gross However, I do think it would be cool to add some of the zones. The Aran/Cygnus starting zones were beautiful and had fantastic music. Would be cool to see some custom bosses with actual mechanics in there as a higher level zone even. Sitting there attacking and doing nothing for 20 min on some bosses gets a little old.
Add Pink Bean (as in the class) On a serious note, I definitely want to see some changes regarding Heroes and Marksmen, They're pretty much extinct right now.
The only thing I really want is to remove gun whacking on gunslinger lol its a little annoying to have to gun whack and position and whatnot. Super minor annoyance but boy do I wish gun whacking was gone lol
