This is my current equips, I got budget of about 6b, *keep in mind that I am a Shadower, therefore STR/DEX/LUK are equally good for me, also I have MW10
imo your gear is good enough you should probably save up for a perfect weapon. 15 SCG, 12 bgc, 8 FS is good and all the rest of the gear is pretty good too. if you compare how much mesos per +1 att ratio just go for the cheapest upgrade.
Shield - I see you've got a 28 dragon khanjar, which is very low now with your funding. You can definitely get a 31 attack for ~600m if memory serves. Whatever the price is, that is currently the best bang for buck upgrade you can make, so start searching the market for a better one (preferably 30+). On the note of dragon khanjars, some people minimize the secondary stats for whatever reason, but I'm personally very picky about how much LUK it has (3 or more.) Dagger - The other huge upgrade is your dagger. You can buy a 129 attack dagger for 2.5b, or a 130 attack for 3.5b. Either one is perfectly fine, and well below the 1b/1atk ratio for you. Gloves/Cape/Shoe - A 16 attack SCG upgrade should be obtainable for you. You can upgrade to that for a little under a bil if you're patient enough (although glove prices have been rising.) For the others, you can upgrade for about 500m on the shoes, but this requires patience. Right now your cape and shoes are at a good place. I'd recommend a 9 attack FS at 3.5b if you can find one. Ring/Earring - Rings are a luxury as far as ROAs go. I see you're lacking Ephenia's ring (1 ATK). You could grind Ellin Forest, which will unlock the PQ and allow you to grind out some nice earrings as well. Your earrings can use a little bit of work. You can try grinding Altaires and get 10+ LUK on them. Top/Bot - You have a very decent bottom (although 21/9 pirate are more preferable due to the lower dex requirement.) You can upgrade the top to a 6/24 or 7/23 (if you need the dex) for around 200m. 30 stat tops tend to stay in a very affordable price range, and anything higher is usually a luxury. Everything else looks pretty decent (helm is great STR/DEX wise) to me, and shouldn't really be touched until you start reaching newer heights. A few notes: Most stuff I mentioned are purchasable goods. I highly recommend you start investing your time into grinding untradable items, which are invaluable for shadowers. Specifically, start grinding out a Quest Virtuoso medal and a Black Belt at Dojo. That's at least 12 all stat and 15 LUK combined (100% your belt, don't worry about Chaos until later in your gameplay. Or do what you want, who cares!) You can slowly chisel away at these, and before you know it you'll be OP. I've grinded two virtuoso medals and got a third on the way; it's best done in small doses! Finally, don't underestimate the good old fashion way of improving: levels. Trust me when I say, leveling is the best way of gaining range. Once you get a more proper dagger and shield, you're in decent shape to be accepted into any content with ease (LHC, HT, etc.)
mw20 is a worthwhile investment if you dont run regularly with friends who already have it. try to do daily krex and get a reroll, no need to pay for it if you're still leveling anyway. otherwise i agree with the above on focusing on your weapon next.
Thanks for everyone's reply, Thank you for the reply, I had no idea what Quest Virtusoso was, so i'll give that a look, seems like something that can make me better without much spending, as for earrings, glasses and nose - I was actually wondering if I should CS them for better stats, as I said, it is just as good for me to get STR/DEX, so all stats will make me better, Earrings would be first because I bought many for this exact purpose, I guess for now the biggest thing would be a dagger, because mine is pretty weak, i can get +6 w.a for 3.5b, as for Ephenia's ring, i actually did all EPQ prequests, it is just very difficult to find party members, as for Top/Bot - if i understand correctly, if i find a bottom the requires less dex, i can drop my base dex? because i remember it needs to have enough dex EXCLUDING the item itself, for example, the shield gives me 6 STR, but it does not count towards the 75 STR needed, so now i have 75 STR before using the shield, mine's now is 22/8 bot, total 30 stats, i think it's worth a little bit of money, should i try to find a better one with less dex required?
Do whatever you want, but I'd recommend not chaosing anything without reserving money to upgrade your dagger and shield. Your attack gear is good enough. Also again, a black belt is absolutely pivotal for a Shadower. To give you a reference, I'm a Lvl 200 Shadower with no base AP in STR or DEX (outside of job requirement.) With MW20 I have 148 + 2 DEX without earrings (this is managed by a godly HTP and 7STR 6DEX ring from an event.) Feel free to pm me if you want a list of my gear set. You have the correct understanding. You can tinker with your stat requirements and see if switching to a lower DEX requirement works for your setup. You're going to need at least 110 DEX without Top/Bot (Lvl 70 studded), and you need exactly 150 for dragon khanjar. With a reasonable budget you'd expect to get around 28 DEX from your Top/Bot. Because of the dragon khanjar, realistically you would be around 120 DEX without Top/Bot anyway. Again, if you want you can try to look for a top with a bit more DEX (maybe 7), and yes, switching to pirate pants will probably allow you to transfer some DEX AP to LUK. Hey, I will upgrade my shield and dagger, already made a post in market for buying this things, i'll wait till i am better equipped to start chaosing this items, I want to get black belt, but dojo is so tedious that it is difficult, is this common to HAVE to use MW to be able to use some of your items? because i can rely on that 2 dex from MW and work around it, Thank you!
It is indeed a common tactic, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it. In my opinion the inconvenience of needing MW20 isn't worth the 2 AP you can toss in LUK. Also save your money, there is no reason for you to purchase MW20 at your stage, especially when it's a gamble. Anytime!
Hey, i've upgraded some of the items, now i guess the main idea is to get black belt and the quest virtuoso, but i did not see any info about it, i get quest specialist after 800 quest, how many the virtuoso requires?
Nice earrings! Cool shield/dag. Definitely some great upgrades here. Make sure to use Inusama's guide that I linked to! The Quest Virtuoso Medal requires 1000 quests. For the belt, dojo has a cap on the number of points you can earn per day (1.5k), so it will take a couple of days. For my grind, I was fortunate to have some people grinding it out at the same time, but eventually I needed to start using smegas and recruiting. Reaching the point cap should take around 1 hour. You keep earning points and claiming belts along the way. You can also grind out a red belt, which takes about half the work of a black belt and is 4 all stat.
Thank you for your reply, when could i be considered an HT attacker? currently 158, and i've already done the quest with the egg, isn't that too late? can i get a new quest and scroll it again?
Well I would suggest going with friends/guildmates at your level instead of joining pub runs. Im not too familiar with shads because I main a bm so I dont really know what level/dmg range would be accepted for shads as attackers. Yes you can reloot htp and egg again. The quest is just for lore tbh.
