This cutie (helmet) here was once obtainable in Old Source . While there are still tradeable versions floating around the server here and there, it has become a rare item. I wish that it could be brought back in some way as a wearable NX hat. My HUMBLE suggestion would be to make it an untradeable NX hat obtainable with Tokens of Teamwork. 400-500? Not sure. OR, it could be an RP or regular NX item, but I think it would be more fun as a PQ Reward. I think it deserves to be brought back because it's a great hat with many different animations (walking, sitting, attacking...) and it's just so freaking cute. THOUGHTS????????

Please allow me to upgrade my existing one for the NX version, not gonna go against this but i’ll be salty if the item, toy? rarity is gone like that. Is this the rarest one now? Look at how GMs destroyed to all the rare chairs such as the TV recliner chair. Theres nothing rare left to collect..
Hmm, the rarity of the item is something I've thought about, as it would not be fair to those who diligently collect rare items, right? Just a caution: don't take my words of enthusiasm as signifying that this would be implemented or that there's a good chance it would. I'm sure others on staff would raise the same point you did, and I don't know of a case where a regular item received an NX version outside of stuff like Empress/Von Leon gear sets and Red weapons taken from later versions.
Heres a existing weapon with a NX version. There are alot fun items like this. Well, with this easily obtainable in the CS, its not really a fun item anymore. If we are talking about anvil, now thats a different story lol, but as always due to client limitations and restrictions its unable to be implemented anyway so.
And yes this point. Chair collectors who invested large amount got slapped so fucking hard in the past years due to some weird releases example slime tank chair from valentines, shinsoo, rosy bird cage and red winter chair from chair gach. They’re worth 8bil plus easily now its just lmao. I can’t even.
I'm aware of stuff like Diao Chan Sword, Liu Bei Sword (Dagger?), and so on having identical real item counterparts, but what I meant was I didn't know of a case that is unique to Royals (and not a relic of Nexon.) Is that the case with this weapon? As for anvil, indeed, implementing an NX version of this hat would open up questions to that, but it is still a bit nuanced. Yeah. These cases are delicate. It's a matter of asking why an item is rare (is it still obtainable and super rare, or is it discontinued?) In the case of discontinued items, I feel there can be arguments made to bring them back, especially if they are discontinued for seemingly arbitrary reasons (not an event exclusive/early adopter type of reward.) Of course, they can be brought back within reason and require significant effort to obtain. That's my personal take on it anyway. Whether to bring it back at all, and as itself or an NX version, I leave it to be discussed!
making existing ones into nx ones sounds like a good idea too! but ya I see your point. if all existing ones were converted to wearable NX, then where do you think would be a fair place to obtain it in the future?
Turn the existing (clean) ones into NX (retaining their rare value) and make a way to obtain the non-NX version of it
Can’t obtain it anymore Unpopular opinion but, hey, hopefully its similar to the ring of the new beginnings. A selected handful in the server, untradable after turning into NX. To obtain it you gonna contact a old player that have departed from the game to login and sell it to you. Maybe attract them to play the game back. Existing players will run to old players asking them, “hey rmb mapleroyals?” This way its not a rare item that can be easily destroyed on a whim. I’m a big fan of those rare and one of a kind items in this game afterall.
One of the coolest aspects of RPG's (World of Warcraft, Runescape etc) is old items that are no longer obtainable and worth millions because of that reason... If I had one of these hats I would be strongly against this idea.
the value of this hat is hard to determine because it’s a hat you can only wear while ur not bossing or wanting to deal dmg. ppl have wanted to buy it but no one is willing to sell it. i agree that making it unobtainable is probably the best after giving it some thought but I still hope it can be changed to an NX item to bring it to the market as a rare cosmetic
Apologies, I kinda mis-read the OP. If you retroactively changed existing ones to an NX item and kept it as unobtainable then yes, I think it's a good idea.
