On my shad, in terms of SP i'm down to just Ninja Ambush, Venomous Stab and Taunt. to my understanding, poison past lvl 1 is useless, ninja ambush does insignificant amount of damage, but some have told me Taunt can be useful. What are some actual uses of Taunt though? This seems like the usual situation where its more efficient to just kill a mob outright than proc Taunt on it to raise the droprate a maximum of 40%. All I can think of is the event mob thats been spawning for halloween, since there is only 1 of them Thoughts?
I occasionally use it during the HP quest, specifically dreamy ghosts. It probably doesn't speed it up at all but it's fun to use. Besides the event mobs it really has no real use in game, just a cool skill to have
Considering the rate at which i can kill these guys, i can't imagine taunting them would be efficient at all? Same with the other suggestions, killing them outright versus using a kinda slow single mob attack for +40% drop at max
Don't taunt first, you can taunt after a few b-steps. The only difference in speed should be a taunt cast, once you master the timing and how many b-steps it takes before taunting. Once you get to the point of mule farming, for example i would paladin (heavens hammer) Corsair (airstrike) and taunt+bstep, the neo tokyo mobs. Made 3 sets of eternal bullets in about 4 days. Taunt is worth being maxed, makes great mesos. Casually or tryhard. You'll get it once you try it.
I dont think so, just regular mobs. I think it being effective on bosses would be problematic, unless it was nerfed to like +4% drop on bosses & 40% on regular mobs.
