(I realize these questions aren't posed to me but I'm gonna weigh in since that's the theme of this whole story at this point)

According to T&C, sacking is allowed but repeated sacking or sacking in order to disrupt multiple people can be considered objectionable behaviour for a minor infraction. Since this appears to have been a single sack, the answer is no, and in the screenshot Shiratsuyu admits that it's not against the rules.

There is already precedent for leech sacking being a blacklistable 0ffense. Usually it's taken in combination with other toxic behaviours, which, keep in mind, there are other users reporting in this particular case.

It can be subject to debate whether leech sacking should be blacklistable (whether it involves a meso transaction or if it's just self-leech or between friends/guildies), but honestly, if the T&C forbids defaming someone more than twice in a row I think leech sacking is more disruptive to a player's gameplay than losing 10 fame.

If someone escalated in this way just because I didn't respond to a whisper then I think this would be justified. Maybe there's more to the story but if there is, we haven't heard it yet.

I see lots of these minor verbal scuffles play out in-game and usually one person just gets tired and says "whatever" and logs off or CCs. It's not normal to want to escalate from verbal into stalking or disrupting gameplay. That's what this blacklist is for.

I originally hadn't read the ensuing pages of shitposts after waking up this morning, but it had been brought to my attention that certain players were intent on attacking my character. So I will address them:

I tagged you not because I was acting like I knew anything, I tagged you precisely because I didn't know anything. You made it explicitly clear in your ban appeal that you wanted more information about the details of your ban. At the same time, however, it's established practice for staff members to conceal evidence from abuse reports to respect the privacy of their players. I thought the best course of action would be to direct you to the details that were made public, while allowing you the opportunity to address them directly to the community. If you are genuinely concerned that my purpose of tagging you was to "make you look like the bad person," perhaps consider that this misunderstanding resulted from your knowledge of the truth behind your behavior. In any case, the whole point of tagging you was to elicit your side of the story so it seems that our goals are aligned.

This isn't the first time I tagged players who were reported to the blacklist and were not aware that they were reported to the blacklist. As the previous manager of the blacklist, I am distinctly aware that players are often reported to and added to the blacklist without their knowledge. Providing these players the opportunity to explain their behavior and address community concerns only serves to strengthen the legitimacy of the blacklist--regardless of the ultimate outcome. And as the previous manager of the blacklist, I also established the unique practice of allowing players to privately request removal from the blacklist based on a good-faith acknowledgment that their behavior will not continue. So I don't appreciate you reducing my contributions to this thread as "stir[ring] up drama."

Admittedly I didn't tag Bald with superfluous generosity, but I did tag him exclusively and explicitly with the words he used in his own ban appeal with a clearly neutral tone. So I still stand by the fact that my reasons for tagging him were purely well-intentioned. If you are so concerned about players who stir up drama, I suggest you take a look at your own tone and behavior these past few pages.

I don't even know what to say to this lmao. I can't believe you're still salty that I called you out for your bad takes in this thread for defending a repeat harasser. I and the vast majority of people who defended eutko didn't even know who she was, yet you're still somehow deluded in the belief that all of it was some mass collusion orchestrated to ruin your life. No one's out to get you, no one even knows you. Some honest self-reflection might serve you well here--maybe instead of seething in the misguided conviction that everyone is out to get you, perhaps consider that everyone just thinks your opinions are bad.

i have no relation to dave at all just saying, no one is banding together with a hidden agenda, bald2 is not that important to us.

 

Wow, had to join in for this discussion, as the unprofessional behavior displayed by the forum staff is a little alarming. Can we all be completely honest for a second and admit that Dave's behavior towards bald is unfair, provoking, and unprofessional? Even though they worded their statements in a way that they have plausible deniability, any honest person can see what's happening.

Look at the situation at hand. Everyone Dogpiling on someone, having people posting out of context screenshots, getting all your friends to jump in and call his reasons "bs", and then expecting that he could in good faith explain himself here? It's completely illogical to assume so, and I could see why he would be apprehensive about continuing to discuss it here, as all his reasons would be handwaved and belittled. Seems like he very fairly offered to take this to discord and have a voice chat, if you are confident that you are in the right, why not?

Not surprised that instead of grappling with my points, you just attack that I joined the FORUM today, but I do guess its easier for you to deflect instead. And Yes I signed up for the forum because what I'm seeing here is shocking, had no reason to post otherwise.

We as a community deserve and should all expect more professionalism from our staff. Please from this point out, refrain from dogpiling on users, and treat bald with respect.
