This is a smaller request, just pointing it out because it's bloody annoying. If there is any way to remove the following boss summons from being picked up on the ~bosshp command, please, please, pleeeaassee... can you remove them? The ones in particular I know are picked up are the Papulatus stars, Pianus' bombs and Zakum's... flying tiki monsters. 6230101 - Puco 6300003 - Cuzco 6400003 - Punco 6300004 - Pachu 6400006 - Opachu 8500003 - Low Darkstar 8500004 - High Darkstar 8510100 - Bloody Boom It's not exactly a glitch, all these monsters would be labelled as bosses... but if you try using ~bosshp when multiple are on the screen, it does spam up your chatbox and could probably cause dc's to people with subpar computers (like my own). Not 100% necessary since the three bosses who summon these mobs all have HP bars, but some people like knowing the actual number. Thanks for considering it.
http://royals.ms/forum/showthread.php?t=1781 I don't know if it was ignored because of forgetting about it or because of deeming it unnecessary. I guess we'll find out now that you've also suggested it. PS. I like your thinking.
To remove them, we would have to mark those monsters as not being bosses. We cannot selectively choose which bosses to show the HP of. It is a case of either showing all Boss HPs or none of them. :S
I would have to edit the XML files I think of each of them as not bosses, which definitely can't be done. I just want to make sure there are no negative effects to them not being marked as bosses. Like I am trying to figure out why they are considered bosses in the first place? Just because they appear on a boss map?
I've done a few experiments- and I've noticed in maps where there are bosses and pre-existing mobs- e.g Himes (Crow as boss), Tick-tocks (the clock-bird boss), only the boss hp shows. However, in maps where mobs who weren't preexisting are spawned together with the boss- e.g Zakum, both the newly spawned mobs hp and the boss hp are shown. I hope this helps in someway John
Is that something KC might be able to do with his editing? Sorry, I don't know much about editing so it all just comes across as magic to me.
It may also be because the boss itself spawns them; while area bosses which spawn mobs (see: Leviathan, King Clang, Elliza, etc) spawn monsters in their regular forms and they do not appear on ~bosshp, the spawns of Zakum, Pianus, Papulatus (the original three major bosses of the game, and likely the first ones to even be able to spawn mobs in the first place) as well as Horntail's Wyvern spawns (don't quote me, that one's from memory) all appear on ~bosshp. I think it's simply a matter of those mobs only existing in the context of the boss fight and thus they were labelled as bosses themselves, at the discretion of some random Wizet developer who didn't foresee this ever being an issue.
