Closed Banned for high damage

Lovely sunday goes to waste.. so bored. What exactly is taking so long? Don't you have enough proof already of me not having hacked? It is a bug on you guys' end... please realize it

 

@Matt - if you check the two sets of screenshots, you'll see that Sucking4Life still has several setup files in the first screenshot, as though the install hadn't completed correctly. The last time I saw this (quite recently) the player in question received an error message saying that the program may not have installed correctly. (Windows message, I think.) That player was also banned for strange stuff going on in game (in that case, it was going up non-existent ladders/ropes in the fm).

This makes me think that perhaps Sucking4Life has some issue (maybe firewall/antivirus) that's stopping the game installing correctly. Also, it seems that incomplete game installations do cause funky bugs. However, I'm not really good with techy stuff, so... over to you, John and Kevin, plus anyone who wants to PM Sucking4Life to tell them how to get the game to install correctly. Just thought I'd add my two cents from what I've discovered so far. Here's the other thread with a similar problem - see what you think:

@Sucking4Life - please stop being so impatient and demanding. I'm on the last day of my holiday right now and Matt has lots of other things to do. We'll figure out what's going on with your issue when we figure it out. If your game did not install correctly, search for answers in Technical Help instead of blaming us. I am very sorry if I sounded impatient and offending. It just feels disappointing not being able to play when Im innocent. I have my firewall always off and I dont use anti viruses. Does this mean I am unbanned? Also do I have to re-install the game again? Because I dont know whats wrong with it. Also sorry for disturbing your holidays, was definitely not intended.

 

Before you go any further, please download the correct Etc.wz file from here:
http://royals.ms/downloads/wz/

Download the file to your desktop and then drag and drop it into your MapleRoyals folder to replace the current Etc.wz. Then wait patiently for Matt or John to reply when they have time and they've compared this with the similar case I linked.

Small update - another member of staff will be helping us investigate this later today.

 

OK, we've done some further investigation and discussed your case in detail and decided to unban you.

However, please note that if this issue occurs again, you will remain permanently banned.

 

Thank you thank you alot. I will not play my f/p anymore because I honestly want to avoid something like this again.. I can just tell you that I was of no fault honestly. It must have been a bug on poison mist or anything else. I hope you can figure it out and solve the issue to avoid future problems. Thank you again.
