Hi This is my first time to create a thread so I hope I'm doing it right I'm level 68 cleric, heal is maxed... Often when I use heal my HP doesn't recover to 100% The bug happens when I heal myself with or without party members and also with or without attacking monsters. I also noticed that when I heal my party members, their HP doesn't recover to 100% even if it was 90% HP before (very little amount of HP to recover).. I know that heal should not always recover other characters HP to 100% because of the HP amount differences but it also happens when there is a very little amount of HP to recover (as I mentioned - 90% HP) Do you clerics experience this bug too or is it just me? pleas let me know if there is a bug and how can i fix it Thanks! It really should not at least recover my own HP to 100%? I ask this because the skill says that it is 300% recovery
That's not how the skill works lol. Ok, so this is how the damage and recovery calculation works: Heal Damage (credit to Russt//Devil's Sunrise for Target Multiplier function): MAX = (INT * 1.2 + LUK) * Magic / 1000 * Target Multiplier MIN = (INT * 0.3 + LUK) * Magic / 1000 * Target Multiplier The % listed in the skill description (300% at max) acts as the skill percent (see Order of Operations above). Heal Recovery MAX = something * Magic * Heal Level * Target Multiplier MIN = something * Magic * Heal Level * Target Multiplier Heal Target Multiplier: 1.5 + 5/(number of targets including yourself) For reference- 1 - 6.5 2 - 4.0 3 - 3.166 4 - 2.75 5 - 2.5 6 - 2.333 Ok, so TL : DR The heal damage is affected by int luk and magic, and most importantly by how many people it heals/attacks. The healing value can varry wildly from something like 20% to 100% efficiency with each cast, and it is too affected by how many people are healed or targeted. the 300% is a damage multipier, like how attacks of non mages have % damage that they do. So no, the skill is not broken. I'd advise you to change the tag of your title to "fixed" or something lol.
Hi Yuval and thank you for the detailed answer. I wonder what the "something" means in the Heal recovery calculation, can you please tell? Also, I played cleric long time ago in GMS and for sure I remember that heal had recovered at least my own HP to 100% so it feels weird that it doesn't happen in MapleRoyals.
lol its a mystery, doesn't feel like anything you have control over, just some preset stats no one bothered to measure out or dig in the details for how it works. I got all the data from https://ayumilovemaple.wordpress.com/2009/09/06/maplestory-formula-compilation/ To be healed 100% all the time you usually need to not hit any other target but yourself, and only from a certain lvl will it start becoming consistant.
xD it is a mastery... and yes, that's what i'm talking about.. when i heal myself only (with no other target) and my HP doesn't recover to 100%. I also thought that from certain lvl it will be consistent but it feels like something doesn't work right...
