I understand this might be a little hard on the GMs running the game, where there is many things for consideration. Just kinda writing in after a year of being banned, to maybe try my luck a little; I've been browsing the ban appeals ever so often, since my ban last year some time around November, and I kinda noticed the pattern of account sharing; how majority of the people who got banned for sharing accounts; bishop. One person creates a bishop and everyone just leeches of it; common practice in MapleSea back in the days. I mean, "not knowing the rules" is obviously a big no-no but smart alecs like myself, think I know it all since I've played MapleSea while sharing a bishop; thinking that while observing all the rules I did back in MapleSea, it'd be okay in Royals. But there are genuine cases where when people sign up for something they just accept and tick every single terms and conditions < definitely not saying that is the right thing to do but, it does happen when you're a little excited an all, just cannot wait to play the game. I loved royals, the community, the server as a whole. Cannot be compared; I've tried many other servers to get a kick for my oldschool maple addiction but nothing compares. I genuinely hope that this is something that we can consider, with an open mind; I know it is extremely difficult and it may not be implemented immediately, but I genuinely hope that gradually overtime, we can look into these players and hopefully give them a second chance at embracing the server; this time, not messing up. Cheers and all Love, Ian
They have a one time chance just like everybody else. I think you mean a second chance, and that is an absolutely absurd suggestion. People choose to break the rules, nobody forces it upon them. Thinking you know it all or not reading the rules are a personal mistake and repercussions don't change due to it. If you go into an establishment with a policy banning people who enter with a pink shirt, but you choose to ignore it/not read their policies prior to entering, you're still going to get banned for wearing the pink shirt. There aren't exceptions for poor decision making.
You've gained unfair advantage over others through ilegitimate means. "i didnt know its against the rules" can be said by any person that did something against the rules, there's no way of confirming it, and accepting someone like you back would open the floodgates to all the other ban cases. So no, i doubt you'll ever get a second chance, try your luck in a different server and read their server rules this time.
what's stopping people from creating 100 mapleroyals accounts, farming 800K NX each day, and then just stopping when they get banned just abuse the system until you get caught this would never work
I think for vote abuse this would be a terrible idea, but I do think the account sharing rule is too harsh. Perhaps it should be a 3-month ban for the first offence rather than permanent.
I agree with you, but it can be a little more extensive, six months sounds more reasonable first offence, no second chance about vote abusers minor 1-3 days 4 - 6 days = 6 months penalty (2 accounts) 7 days + = perm ban (because he knows what doing ) about hassarment could be awesome be muted from all chat include public, trade, wisper and smega for some time (idk if is possible).
