Hello Royalers I'm a Ulu 2 leech seller and today I faced some issues with a buyer and I genuinely want to know if I was in the wrong in the whole situation and/or if I could've handled it any better. So I sold my hour at 45m split for 2 buyers. The buyer in question here is ZoeyZucchini (Main: Redskins iirc). After he joined the party, straight up he questioned the 4 members on it: Spoiler I found it weird since having a HS mule in the party is so standard but after all that happened (and I may be biased when telling this) I think he was into having some sort of confrontation since the beginning. You'll see. Some minutes later and the guy drops this one on me: Spoiler Basically, the guy starts criticizing my leeching methods. Technically speaking, he wants me to (MS telecast to the right, MS telecast to the left, repeat) and what I really do is (MS telecast to the right, MS wait for spawn, MS telecast to left, MS wait for spawn, repeat). He also doesn't want me climbing up platforms to loot my drops, "only for a ton of items every few minutes or a craven" he says. My procedure on this is (doing the method I told above, get on rope to rebuff HS, climb to the top plat, do one MS above the left rope, collect all items from left to right, do another MS above the right rope, jump down and repeat). Now that I'm over with the technicalities, I think this is the point that it's appropriate to say that I sold leech to over 100 people and this is the first time such complaints were made. To be completely honest, I was somewhat bothered when he started criticizing but I took it in stride. However, after "ZoeyZucchini : this is not telecast and someone could black list", I went from somewhat bothered to fully bothered. Maybe I see only evil in people, but I interpreted that not as a concern he had for me being blacklisted, but as a veiled threat. Spoiler After "Aiwass : ill show you", I really went and showed him that I can do almost 100% telecasts and leech him the way he wants me to, but then told him I was not going to do it his way. This is the point I felt bad for the guy, apologized and gave my reasons. He told me to roll with it and so I did. But then: Spoiler After all of that, the guy accuses me of scamming. This was the moment that I got angry: at this point I had leeched him for 40 minutes, so I traded him, put 15m on trade and just told him "30m for 40 minutes" and gave back his money. He accepted and I kicked him off the party and finished the hour leeching the other guy solo. Sadly, I was so mad that I forgot to ss the moment I gave his money back... So, if he wants to, he can step forward and lie that I never gave him anything back and I'll be really happy to give him 15m again if he wants to. So, what are your opinions on this? Was I in the wrong? Could I have handled the situation better? Thanks in advance
Sorry you had to experience that :/ Based off the screenshots I don't think you're in the wrong here. Every leecher has their own playstyle, after all we're playing a game and we're not following some sort of strict protocol in the real world like you'd be working at McDonalds. The fact the person would call you a scammer for having a different leeching playstyle is sad to see. Unless there is something inherently wrong like the leecher standing AFK for 15 minutes while continuing the timer. If the buyer is not satisfied with the service he could've simply chosen to not buy from you anymore, after the service is done.
Thanks for the feedback I mean, there are some leeching playstyles that result in less EXP per hour than others but the difference between the two discussed here would be so negligible that I think it wouldn't justify threatening me with blacklist and accusing me of scamming. The thing is, this person is probably never going to buy leech anymore because he was already at 105 when we started. And you know what is funny? The other buyer was level 90, which means the person who complained was pulling the most EXP from the leech while the other guy was as nice to me as almost all my buyers were F3
You have a surprising amount of patience, I would have refunded him and found a new buyer. Sure there are ways to make your leech more efficient that goes for everyone, but if he's unhappy with how you do your rotations he can find someone else. As long as you're putting in a good effort people will rarely be like this
Thank you Yeah, just like I said: I have sold leech to over 100 people and nobody ever acted like this. In fact, almost all of them were normal and some even praised me for my hits/EXP/TC skill. I only posted the whole situation here because since this was the first time I faced this kind of complaint, I cast myself in doubt because maybe I am the one who can't take criticism and I can't see it F6
It's a occupational hazard xD But like I'm saying, buyers like this are rare 100 to 1 so it's not as big of a deal.
When I got this kind of buyers at petri who watched every move I made, I preferred just refunding them and getting a new buyer. I don't think it's ever worth going through this just for a little bit of meso, I'd rather lose 30 mins of my time and be happier selling leech. I think you are in the right here.
Nope, You weren't wrong here.... You'll always find people like that who don't appreciate anyone's way of doing things except their own..
Thanks :3 Before this happened, some friends told me people like this actually existed and I didn't believe them. To think that some people believe they own your every move and can dictate how you have your fun because they paid you is just weird. These guys are like the MapleRoyals version of Karens
Thanks I could understand being that way in SOME things, but to be so demanding in a game which purpose is to have fun is something that's beyond me.
For what it's worth, I think the buyer was trying to explain to you that you CAN get all the drops on top, you just don't need to go up and loot them as frequently. Drops take a couple minutes to disappear, so you can get a few TC cycles before you move up to loot all the items. It's a bit of min-maxing that saves you time climbing the rope so much, though it honestly only gets a bit more exp for the buyers. I didn't really feel hostility from the buyer up until they called you a scammer , but you still handled it very well! There's nothing wrong with the way you leech. It can't be scamming if you did everything that you advertised .
Thank you ^^ I only climb to the top platform when I go on the rope to rebuff HS, and that's once every 2 minutes and 30 seconds. IIRC items last for 2 minutes after they've been dropped, so that means that I'm always losing my first 30 seconds worth of drops and that was still too much for the guy u.u When he called me a scammer, I drew the line on the whole mess. But tbh I felt hostility since he said "this is not telecast and someone could blacklist" because that, at least to me, was a threat in disguise. "Take care. After all, who knows what could happen to you, right?" That sort of thing. Or am I seeing too much into this? o.o
You're fine, like others said though I would've refunded them and let that type of person go way earlier. I need therapy after all that abuse...
It's heartwarming to see how everyone piles on this thread to show the community is a majority of nice people!
Thanks For sure I will do it way earlier the next time something like this happens again. Like Donn1e said, the meso doesn't pay all this stress
Yeah, and this is true both in the forums and inside the game as well! Like I said before: it took over one hundred buyers until I found someone who behaved this way
I mean this kind of people only know the how the in and out of leeching but nvr do it themselves kekw… Knowing how to do it and doing it is a totally diff thing To me i would just yeet him out and confronted him straight up “ look dude is a gonna be a problem of my leeching method ?”
