maybe people recommended that feature already, but i couldn't find anything related so here it is:

Number one: Add 1 permanent bonus HP for each quest completed. At 1000 Quests done, that's 1000 HP.
Doesn't break the game and people who actually play their characters without using the "traditional" HP wash mechanic that spent time doing quests, won't be "left out" - since, let's be honest, other than a completionist thing it's useless as there are better medals than quest specialist / quest virtuoso out there for most characters.

Number two: additionally to the Collector Medals that can be obtained, make it so that each completed monster card set, adds 1 permanent bonus HP.
At 400 full sets, that'd make 400 HP. At 477 sets, that'd be 477 HP. I spent almost 9 months hunting for 477 sets playing pretty damn active.
Doesn't break the game, seems reasonable and it acts as another incentive for people to play the game regularly - this will in turn maybe revive (partially) some Party Quests, or atleast make them more accessible to people outside of having to spam 10-20 super megaphones in order to recruit people. It's quite frustrating making most people just leave it altogether - instead of using the "traditional" HP wash mechanic.

I know that Reuels HP quest exists, and i know it's more efficient up till 16k HP for most characters, excluding melees. However, the majority of people i see and meet are still HP washing, just because its "less [emotional] effort", to them.

Creating more incentives to actually play the game is a good thing.

If it can't be coded, that each quest gives 1HP or 1 full set adds 1 HP, make it so the Quest Specialist Medal adds 800 HP , Quest Virtuoso adds 1000 HP and the Legendary Collector Medal adds 1400 HP. Though people who hunted all 477 sets would be left out missing a whopping 77 HP. Maybe make a better looking medal Monster Card Collector Medal at 477 full sets that doesn't look so toyish and adds 1477 HP? Or add some new areas so there are even more cards to be collected? At like 600 Full Sets: 2k HP 5wa or so?

Some ideas for (adjusted) new areas would be:
    Dawnveil
    Pantheon
    Grandis
    Vulpes
    Heliseum
    Ereve
    Taipei 101
and this area, which i don't exactly know the name of, but it's basically the Empress Boss area
    How to get there:

    In reference to this thread:

Legendary Virtuoso page 2 somewhere my and later replies

Feel free to discuss the idea since i didn't think about it too much.

Edit: obviously the HP amounts per quest / monster card set are open to discuss too.
Like, you could alternatively make each unique card up to a full set give 1 HP and thus each full set add 5 HP
so at 400 sets that'd be 2000 HP and at all 477 sets 2385 HP.

This would feel more like a real alternative to HP washing than the repetitive quest being "Reuels Search for the Elixir of Life" ( this is the daily repeatable HP quest in Magatia - see guide here: click me )
This would also live up to the claims the server makes: "HP Washing optional"

Many new players who join this server maybe just dont find all the accumulated alternatives, so something as trivial as questing or getting monster cards might encourage people even more to n o t using the "traditional" method of HP washing their character, and in such rendering most players characters "unplayable" up until bossing level where 98% of the games content has been skipped.

Same goes for each Quest, could make it that each quest adds 2 HP or even 3 HP per quest So at 1000 Quests it's 2000 HP or 3000 HP.

And a combined medal, as in the thread above suggested would be, a real alternative to HP washing.

    That's something to discuss too ! :)

I don't like HP washing at all and like collecting, so this is right up my alley. I'd like to be able to more easily access later game areas without needing to spend tons of money on HP gear or washing.

This also is a way of playing the game and experiencing it's content, progressing through it's content rather than just repetitive hp questing at level 120+.
Not to say reuels HP quest isn't good, but there are other ways to fill the meso bag than ulu2 that to most people won't feel like a chore but a journey to enlightment

I agree, this is a brilliant idea to incentivise playing the game in a more "Natural" way, also since it's just hp benefits, it's not tied to player power and therefor is just a decent quality of life for most people.

im agree too, hp wash ~f8, im casual player from 2014 and i can say surely if u are casual player u never gonna enjoy jobs like NL.

1-u cant play the job until u are lvl 155 (if u wanna boss all) obviously all ppl want play all boss and all the content

2-dont enjoy low lvls and its the best part for make friend and meet ppl

3- need to make 1st a class that probably dont like and work selling leech like a job...

4-for completed the 3 part if u are a casual idk how many years u need to get first a decent int gear, second a mesos to burn whit ap reset (and leech) and third a lot of more hours for get a decent gear for ur main character.

I think I can speak for all us casuals.

Yes, please. Yes, omg. Yes to everything. Yes, this. Just overwhelmingly yes.

My IRL friends would consider playing beyond level 60.
New players that want to remember the good times, grinding a NL all the way to level 130+. Only to find out that they basically wasted their time. They might actually stay now.
People might play the remainding 99.99% of the content in this game, and it would actually be meaningfull.

I don't care about what this means to balance, I don't care how much HP we might get from this.

    Yes.

    To build upon this idea.
Add a (NON-Repeat) quest for each PQ that increases Max HP by +5/+10

It would incentivise basically everyone to do each PQ once when leeching another mule :)

New areas are great. I just want some level 160+ mobs to grind on. Great for ironmans too.

10000% for this and ANY alternatives to hp washing in general. If there are really only 477 sets in the whole game, I think more than 1 hp per monster card set would be better, maybe like 2-5. Can't comment on quests since they vary so much in length.

Go ahead & keep washing around as the most efficient billionaire method, but some competition would be good.

I didn't think this deserved an entirely new feedback thread, but the HP quest "Elixir of Life" could be improved slightly by removing the low level mobs from it. Killing green mushrooms, flyeyes or the haunted mansion ghosts in 4th job is pretty demoralizing, not sure the point of that, its a lvl 120+ quest. Theres plenty of high lvl mobs to choose from.

1 HP seems so insignificant/pointless though. I got the Quest Virtuoso medal, while 1000 hp = about 28 HP quest completions. 28 HP quests might take 10 hours or so? In comparison to weeks for 1k quests.
At level 182 on Corsair, I can just barely take a hit from Bigfoot, Kacchu, etc. while staying at 4 base int and washing out most of my extra MP from items and doing lots of HP quests (+ spring of life) while being ages away from being able to do Toad or Auf Haven without hb. One one hand devs force anti-gameplay through requiring HP washing for serious accounts and necessitating leech by doing so, while on the other hand they 'try' to mitigate it with extra HP from job advancing and HP quests.
Does anyone actually enjoy having their character be completely worthless for 150 levels and AFKing on a rope to gain levels? Does anyone actually enjoy mindlessly leeching others for hours on end just for mesos? Surely there's a better way.

    to build onto your idea:

make the quest repeatable, but only up until certain limits.
    for example:

    LPQ 35 PQs * 5 HP = 175 HP
    OPQ = 40 PQs * 5 HP = 200 HP
    Kerning PQ = y PQs * x HP = z HP
    Ellin PQ = 40 PQs * 5 HP = 200 HP
    Lord Pirate PQ..

and so on... this would, combined with the other "exploring" HP washing & Daily repeatable HP Quest alternatives make for a good char progression that builds on the existing games content.

I noticed when i was hunting cards for collectors medal that i went to places i normally never ever go to. Adding HP to monster cards really pushes people to explore more and experience alot more cool maps , like who gives a fuck about exploring Floating market of Thailand lol.
Also adding a small amount of HP to PQ's really makes that content alive again. who even does romeo and juliet pq or LMPQ for example. Or trade in Token of teamwork for a small HP reward?

Washing is nice and all but new people just quit cuz they fucked up HP washing or didn't know about it. Games run on casuals and not wana be elitist or trihards

I would recommend 3 hp/quest and 1/card (or 5/card set), and remove the HP from card medals (it's built into the cards themselves, and now lets people choose to use a different medal without losing HP). If this HP can't be given directly, instead maybe make it a chat option when talking to Cody as the trigger? And then he'd either give you HP potions or edit it directly, while recording the new quest/card count.

This would make questing + card hunting a much more viable option, which would hopefully really revitalize early game, both letting more players avoid washing AND encouraging people to do early game quests and hunt mobs. Rich people can still wash and HP quest still exists to topup anything else needed.

Not sure on PQ hp - it'd either have to be very small to be irrelevant per completion, or be limited to only running each PQ a handful of times, which doesn't seem great. I'd rather see more uses for tokens of teamwork instead of HP.

Also, on the topic of HP I'd love to see Elixir of life quest changed to become daily at 12k by lv 145 (enough for Shao), and also include unused potions from it in those calculations, to remove incentive to hoard them.
