I'd say this should cement their place in the blacklist, blatantly saying they'll continue ripping off noobs

Why would i be sorry for offering someone 50m for something i didnt know the original price? And even if i knew the price.. why would i be sorry? Its not a big deal.

 

Apricot has now been added to the list. I gave you the benefit of the doubt first but your mockery and immaturity made it clear you knew what you were doing.
I may be wrong here, but from your killstealing report, it's very much possible that you were bothering janiv before hand, since in the screenshot you can clearly see mano getting killed twice and you communicating with him before finding your own channel. And it happened in the middle of the other drama. Janiv's comments may be toxic, but I'm not sure if I believe that screenshot to be the whole story anymore.

 

Woah you dont believe screenshots either? How did i bother him as a low level archer? I was calmly doing my quest. Well your blacklist thread means nothing to me, since 80% dont even use forums. And why am i blacklisted? For being immature? What about Tentomon? Isn't that immature that she is reacting to a market trading like this? Nobody in my maplestory experience has whined when i offered them a lowball offer. Well have fun, means nothing to me

You are calling people a crappy hole here and you expect anyone to be friendly towards you, while you are justifying obvious wrong behaviour, that is damaging this community and that you are performing knowingly.

 

Well you're free to offer whatever price you want, and people are also free to blacklist you. The point being made is that lowballing someone who might be unaware of the price ruins the experience of the game for them. It might be "free market" as you like to call it but can't get mad when the community comes after you. Personally, I wouldn't want to be friends with you but good luck to you.

 

No wonder everyone says this community is toxic af. Cant even make my own offers anymore. Shiratsuyu good job on making the most toxic thread ever, giving players no chance to even play anymore.

In my opinion, if somebody lowballs severely one or two times they shouldn't be blacklisted. But, if they have a history of doing it or being obnoxious then sure why not.

A few points here:

1. Just look at FM in Channel 1, there are almost always people that use chalkboards to lowball WS/CS/APR for profit. Yes, the degree of lowball there is lower than ApricotHeart's lowball from the gacha. But, it's a tactic some people use in MMOs.
2. Since ApricotHeart is a new player he probably doesn't know what the culture is like in the server and what's considered culturally acceptable. Trying to blacklist him for a one off thing like this just seems petty and like trying to start something.
3. Also, Shiratsuyu saying based off his behavior she decided to blacklist him because he is immature is a joke, as are many of the comments here.

I think lowballing by itself should never be considered scamming, except in rare circumstances like blatantly lying or misleading people about the value. In real life if somebody offers to buy your car for $1,000 even though it's worth much more, that not illegal in most developed countries. There's no law against stuff like that. It's an individual's responsibility to do the research on the price of items, and if they get lowballed, they just played themselves.

I think the blacklist is mostly a joke anyway except as like a notice board for more serious infractions like loot swiping in bosses or leech scamming.

 

And the truth is: Yes i have been immature af and i actually did join about a week ago. My main is level 50 at the moment i/l mage, but i play my archer at the moment. I have never scammed anyone, but i have lowballed yes but that has not bothered anyone in game so far who i have been trading so far.

I do have fun in game though, i just dont like this forum at all. But now i cant really have fun because most players here try to give me no chances to join parties or make friends etc, just because some noob sold me old raggedy cape for 100k ? Thank you for making a good point here, obviously these people dont like me no matter what i say.


I have lowballed yes, i have mistyped yes, i have made offers just like anyone else does, except my offer was lower than most. Actually some guy wanted to buy my gloves for 10k which is worth 30m, i just laughed at it and said no. But here players blacklist you and hate you like its so funny.

 

Here's the TLDR for people who don't want to read:

 

Seems that you are not new person to royals but just new account, despite you emphasize again and again your behavior shows you understand this server well.
I never take this list seriously to be honest, but you were my guildie and you did annoy me, I will list you here for you are noisy and farm some likes to benefit my forum account LOL.
(Don't take it seriously these behaviors are completely now worth to add him.)

It's been a while since I've seen someone post so many conflicting statements lol. The extreme lowball exploit now only seems like the tip of the iceberg of a rotten personality.

 

I agree that it isn't scamming and that it's not illegal, BUT it is very unethical to knowingly and willingly deceive and exploit an unaware player by offering an extremely low price.

Definitely blacklist worthy.
