I watched every ban appeal recently but many people dont completely understand the game rule.
    specifically about Vote abuse/Account sharing/RWT.
sad to lose many new players for that.

I agree with your title of making Shanks quiz more difficult. It should make the rules very clear once you set off maple island. Unfortunately, many of the people understand what they're doing and make the conscious choice of their actions. Most of the people are in their 20~30+ years of age, have either been through college/uni or are currently inside it, and have a background playing other mmorpgs/multiplayer games.

    2 points:
    1) Question pool seems random, I swear I don't always get specific questions (most important ones that are not "obvious" infractions are whitelist, account sharing and vote abuse of course), would be good to confirm if this is the case.

    2) Vote abuse is definitely the most worrisome, I think the difference between "vote once per day" and "vote once per day per account" is quite subtle for non-native speakers and definitely needs to be highlighted more prominently. Particularly that Malaysian player that got banned recently, it was an obvious case of language barrier.

I would take this petition seriosuly. Something that might help is to randomize the order of the questions and answers. IDK if this happens in other non-english speaking communitys(I would bet it does) but in latin community ive saw a lot of complains about this quest being implemented. And theres "Guides" that just show the answer for every question, so new comers dont even know what the questions are(or the answers) and just stick to it.

Another way could be , instead of having an ingame quiz, you can make it a page/forum one instead.
Putting a link to rules in the registration page, and then put the quiz as a registration requisite.(with the benefit of being on a page those can be traslated to almost every language).

It can also be something you have to solve on forums. Like:

    https://royals.ms/?page=register

1.-Register your ingame account as always(wich cannot log in yet, till solve the quiz)
    2.-Register a forum account
3.- Solve the quiz to have your in game account succesfully registered!

This could help to solve several issues at once:

By adding a "You have a forum account already?" check, You dont have to solve the quiz every single time you create a new account, just the first time.

You can link all the ingame accounts to a forum one, wich, seems like useful information( And yes i know cheaters will just create several forum accounts too, but this would help to stop or catch players that start as legit but leave the server trying to get "benefits" of their time spent on this game)

This by itself wil slow down a bit vote abusers ;)

Will help the known forum users to indentify when a person actually joined the server. We know how comon is to suspect someone to be a rwter cs the forum account is created 2 weeks ago, but then the player in question claims to be playing since Beethoven 5th Birthday.

It will be a bit more tedious to be a new players, but will save time for everyone as shanks in game quiz will be removed, when most of us dont create just 1 account.

Perhaps the T&C could also be slightly edited?

Vote Abuse is still listed as a "Moderate Infraction" under the T&C - it should probably be moved to Major, with a tiny asterisk that if it's minor vote abuse, it'll be downgraded.

Potentially also reorder the major infractions to:
    1) Vote Abuse
    2) Account Sharing
    3) RWT

That way if people only read the first rule, they've at least covered vote abuse, which seems to have the most appeals where people didn't know. The current top 3 are: Hacking, Hacking, server attack - people will likely read these, go "duh, just the obvious stuff", and stop reading.

Also having the longest answer being correct for most of the questions makes it to where you don't need to read the question nor the answers :xD:

The quiz as it is now is really flawed

If you think RWT, vote abuse and account sharing etc is gonna get fixed by a simple qUiZ of a npc from maple island then i must be the richest player in Royals lmao. I'm pretty sure most banned guys know what they did wrong, they just don't want to admit it so they fake it by saying they didn't know etc.

To translate from English to Spanish is stressful since the Spanish subforum is outdated that usually it takes me 30 minutes to solve it

Do people really think these banned players do not know the rules?

It still surprise me that ppl discard some ideas because theyre "not solving the issue". Not only RWT and vote abuse but a ton of issues wont be "resolved" entirely with only 1 action. Theres some others that directly cant be solved entirely, just controlled , or diminished. Not saying this is the way or the best idea ever, but if it doesn take too much work and helps to reduce the amount of ppl banned by 3-5% i would say its worth it.

Comon, we ALL KNOW that most ppl playing innocent on ban appeals know what theyre doing, those arent the target from this suggestions. But if you were playing the game and meet ppl while ure at it, You will see ppl who will most likely not break any rule on purpose, but due of ignorance about the server rules they ask openly things like "How much for X item in mesos?.... Oh yeah and would you sell it for real money?"( wich is not that uncommon due the big amount of p2win games outhere in these times) and get perma banned because of something that they would probably never do (buy the item for real money).

Yes i get that, but instead of giving perma bans, why not give easier time for banned players? There are servers that have a jail system or give player's a 2nd chance. The quiz is just idiotic in my opinion, it's something you do quickly just to get out of maple island fast, it's actually quite annoying quiz. It's almost similar to " have you read terms and conditions?" and all you do is click " yes ".

    A better idea would be:

You get a nice reward for reading the terms and conditions in forums, that would encourage players to create a forum account. You must be at least 10 minutes at the terms and conditions site before it " activates " your reward. The reward can be something like a medal that is +3 all stats perhaps and starts from level 5?

Or maybe a better idea would be that terms and conditions should be introduced more in the game? Maybe an NPC called Jambo at the training camp and all main towns, FM etc. That certain NPC will list all the rules of this game, including forum. So there shouldn't be a problem for new players to be clueless, because there would be numerous NPC's called Jambo everywhere in maple world so player's could easily read the rules.

Another idea would be that maple tips should be more active in the chat. You know one of those " you have been playing maple for 2 hours ", well more of those, maybe introduce more T&C ? That's what Wizet did and Nexon still does.

But an annoying quiz? Nah man. It's already time consuming and annoying quiz :xD:

To be fair. No matter how obvious and how many times you state the rules. People will just not care. I have been "reading" the same rules for over 25 years and never have I ever saw someone give a shit.
Almost anyone new I brought to this server has asked me within the first 24 hours why I am saying it is problem to vote with multiple accounts. Regardless how many times in how big and bold font it is stated that this is not allowed. They just think I click, I can, I do. "If it's not allowed why can I just do it?"
In any circumstance in their lives they have encountered such a thing never have they seen any consequences from similar actions.

If you remove the front door of your house and put up a sign. "You are not allowed to enter" What do you think your insurance company is going to say if people do enter it?

Additionally, these rules are so obvious since they have been the almost the same for any MMO since basically the beginning of this genre.
On the account sharing, the most obvious reasoning is the sharing of personal details, you may decide to give a fuck or not. But if you get "hacked" or lose all your items, than that is very much your own problem.

Every OSRS PVP Content Creator ever: "So for today's daily video I am lending this account from my friend"

I have so many friends also sharing accounts for so many different games, including double mage boosting in WoW, and never has anyone ever heared that someone cared about this.

Lastly, we all assume that everyone is fluent in english. A lot of people are not and cannot even be bothered enough to use the very poor google translate for that thing that is the same everywhere.
