Is botting permitted/excused now??

I was training at ulu2 and searching for a channel when I came across a player clearly botting and logging off as soon as I entered his map. Thanks to the mapowner command, I was able to figure out who he was and sent a tip to Feisty through PM. I was both pleased and surprised to see the player actually got banned, but even more shocked to find out who it was, one of the wealthiest players on the server. I don’t know him personally and have nothing against him, but seriously? A 14-day ban for someone caught CHEATING? Just because it’s his first offense? This isn’t some random new player, it’s worse in my opinion. Because who knows how long this has been going for. I’m both angry and shocked, the decision feels almost rigged.

Please don't delete my post trying to silence this, I'd rather have it locked instead. And if you do, with all seriousness I will consider ceasing to play this server indefinitely.

 

U don’t know what u are talking about. He farms legit as I have personally been to ulu2 and cc to find an empty ch to farm myself and saw him and chatted with him b4. He did not cc that time or logged off as I got there. GM is more than welcome to look that up in the chat log.

If u found a map with this guy’s ign, he perhaps finished farming or went to npc equips. If this guy was trully hacking or botting, he would’ve been banned b4 hitting 200 with mage.

Don’t accuse someone as cheating if you are not 100% sure he is. Just because someone logged off as u got there does not guarantee someone is botting.

 

Also what kind of idiot would bot at one of the most common leech spot ulu2? U’d easily get banned in no time as so many ppl visits there

 

Hello Kalebenyefune! His name is Eric and he is one of the kindest, and most genuine people I know in this server. He wasn't even going to make a ban appeal until we literally asked him to. Seeing you link to his ban appeal and speak utter nonsense has made my blood boil. Eric is a legit player, who has earned his wealth legitimately.

 

He's leeched half of our guild (for free) and will chat with us regularly during his mage farming sessions.

Like minions said, who tf would be dumb enough to bot at ulu2?

Eric is one of the nicest players I've encountered, how can you even talk so much shit about him without even knowing him, and even call his punishment "rigged"?

Also, afaik you're not the jury, judge, or executioner.

Who's dumb enough to bot at ulu2? Probably the same people who bot at haunted house farming stoppers. I get that he's important to you, but if he were legit, he wouldn't have been banned. Personally, I don’t know him or have any interaction with him, so my view on him is neutral. I just encountered someone acting suspiciously, reported it, and a moderator confirmed it, which makes me feel good about my decision. If I ever thought about botting somewhere, I would assume the consequence would be permanent, this is something that really frustrates me. Aren't you trying to get people to read the T&C? There are already two questionnaires about it. Robotic play is explicitly forbidden in the rules, yet you go ahead and give a rule-breaker a two-week ban, which undermines all the efforts to enforce these rules.

Cmon people, I bath in toxicity but the negativity of our forum is off the chart lately, let's be mindful & respect fellow players.
I say let the GM do their job & hand out their decision, also let them answer OP on the original mentioned issue.
