I completed the quest up to 3rd stage and I think I dropped the quest item by accident and there is no way I can retrieve it. There is no quest on both the NPCs so would like to ask if there is anything I can do to complete this quest?
It seems that you're at the end of Ericsson's Reward and there supposed to be a quest to retrieve the Sap of Nependeath available but I don't see it. Do you see a "The Lost Sap of Nependeath" in your completed quests? From the guide of missable quests: LVL40 The Lost Sap of Nependeath. Then "The Lost Sap of Nependeath" became available. I then dropped the Sap of Nependeath AGAIN and the quest did not show up. Sometimes it shows up 24 hours later so I'll check again later. But it is possible that it's not a repeatable quest. It's worth noting that the quest does show up in the completed quest log: 2 days later, the quest did not reappear so it is clearly not repeatable.
I have checked my quest list and I have completed "The Lost Sap of Nependeath" but I don't think I dropped it twice :/ I am stuck like this for a couple months now and it still didn't show up again so I guess I am screwed?
Based on everything I've seen through testing, you clearly dropped the Sap of Nependeath twice. The only way to fix it is to make a thread under character issues. Use one of mine for inspiration.
