Hero needs a better concept in this game. I still wonder why this server gave Crash to Pally... Honestly, Hero should be the bossing class with Total Crash, while Paladin gets a some sort of aggro/guard/tanking skill that takes all the damages or blocks attack for other party members so they can deal freely (kinda like smokescreen). And buff Achilles for Paladin only so that Paladin can be the best tank/sed class. On the other hand, DrK should be the mobbing class outperforming other warriors. Other than that, like others have mentioned before: 1. Make Panic more useful single-target DPS skill—maybe it gives Hero a temporary buff that allows ACA damage increase to remain after using all orbs to use Panic? Also it should ignore weapon def and go beyond current damage ceiling (MM's Snipe also needs some rework i guess). 2. Recharging ACA orbs should be faster after rebuffing. Or make it 300sec instead of 200sec. 3. If Hero doesn't get any party utility, make Rage stackable with weapon attack pots at least... But for Hero itself, if it uses Enrage, then Rage gets canceled. So Enrage still stackable with w attk pots.
Please don't make any complicated changes to the hero; the job should remain as it is. If you want to strengthen the hero, it's enough to strengthen Brandish a bit or increase Weapon Mastery a bit.
Or panic should have Darkness debuff (like 90% chance) on boss and then attack damage increase on darkened/stunned monster. Bucc has that sort of skill in 3rd, and original maple had Chance Attack for Crusader that increases 25% damage on stunned, darkened monsters. If this 25% is applied on ACA then actual damage increase will be 215%. while Berserk is 210%,and holy charge 140%*150=210%. But DrK has higher mastery so extra 5% on hero is negligible and Pally consistently deals 210% while Hero needs to use Panic and recharge (which means decrease in dps) I think this is pretty fair that it forces Hero to do something in order to gain more single target DPS while not overshadowing other warriors. Also in CWKPQ and LHC, Chance attack will force hero to use Coma Attack so it can have higher multi target dps. Overall, adding Chance Attack skill and Darkness debuff on Panic will allow heroes to use 3rd job skills which become useless after mastering Brandish. Combo skills are Hero's identity and we don't need "Braindeadish."
I think Nexon had a certain vision for Hero, but failed in achieving it. Our meta probably evolved in a way they didn't intend. Looking at the skills they gave the class, it looks like the intention was to have the combo orbs be the core identity the class is built around. The orbs are your "currency" that you would collect by attacking, and then spend them to use lots of other more powerful skills. The issue is that the orbs give attack, so spending them needs to be worth it. And the other skills aren't very good. They all have issues, like quickly hitting the damage cap (Panic), or not stacking with attack pots (Rage/Enrage), or being weak and not having enough AOE range (Coma). And they certainly don't offset the attack penalty while rebuilding up the orbs. I think there's two directions you could try to take the class. You could try to fix the combo orbs system and make all the other skills worth using. For example, maybe ACA keeps the attack buff regardless of how many orbs are up. And then you make the other skills scale based on number of orbs consumed, making them stronger than brandish when used with max orbs and hitting the right number of targets. So Hero would become a more dynamic class, having to time their orb usage and juggle in the right attacks. But is this what people even want? Our server has already adapted to the idea of Hero being a comfy, easy-to-play class. I'd enjoy pushing more buttons, I'm a Marksman main after all lol. But I've spoken to some Hero mains and was surprised to hear them say that they would hate the idea of needing to juggle other skills. They *want* the 1-button class, that's what they signed up for. They just want it to be stronger without altering the current playstyle. So I guess that's something to consider when it comes to the future of this class!
I'm hero main and I think this is a real good idea.... If ACA keeps the attack buff then dps will be more consistent and using panic for single target boss once every 10 orbs and seeing big damage like Snipe or Blast will be so fun to watch... Not sure why others just want one button brandish... panic and coma effects are so cool
That's exactly how it is!!! Hero is easy to play and that is the big advantage of Hero. You should keep in mind that there are people who don't want to type away on their keyboard and can't type away like they would on a piano because they are perhaps a little older or have other limitations.
I get the point here but at least we should have a choice to either play one button or add some variety, which in fact isn't that much since it would just be using Panic once a while to maximize dps. Ppl who don't want to use other skills or got limitations can just spam brandish like now
