What's with the heavy ban hammers?

I've been scrolling through the ban appeals page, as I am banned and currently still have no idea why I am banned. Scrolling through, I'm seeing a lot of people who are banned for arguments in game. Sort of pathetic to ban either party as an argument does not warrant harassment in almost all courts of law. Feel like some of the gms are being a bit hasty on the banning process and a little slow on the unbanning. I've only been playing for about a week and the server's community has been great. But, these social justice esq bans aren't really doing anything besides inconveniencing people. A majority of us just want to enjoy the game and bs and it's sort of annoying having to wait hours dealing with staff. Again, loving the server, just my two cents though.

 

There are just too many petty lowlifers who report for anything and everything because they have nothing better to do, the GMs are just following the ToS and acts according to the set rules.

 

I noticed this post https://royals.ms/forum/threads/what-is-an-offense-and-what-is-a-lack-of-identity-immaturity.98632/ and am kind of confused as to why it was closed with no action. The whole premise of this "I'm offended" attitude is a biased concept so it only makes sense for the community to be able to input opinions on it.

 

Interpretation is key I suppose. I'm loving this server and don't want it to be hindered by SJW bs. It'd take something pretty disgusting to be said for me to warrant banning someone for it and even then I'd be skeptical. Let people bicker it's healthy. I'd much rather have a few more pricks in my games than a dead community of white knights.

 

You don't need to be a SJW to report things you "don't like" or aren't involved with. Everyone can get triggered, it's just that some people are pathetic enough to try and silence those who say things they disagree with, or are just generally speaking douchebagz

 

I liked the Report Abuse section just so I could laugh at all the stupid reports...and now that's gone >.>

its ok if u say someone is petty but not lowlife, everyone is equal. because of someone like u who talk with no responsibility that we need to report n teach u what is responsibility.

the staff closed it because its becoming a thread that target specific report, and do u get an answer when u give a feedback to someone? not everytime.

 

I loved the report abuse thread, my favourite section. I also memorize the dummy reports so i can avoid certain people in game. Too bad is has gone to private.

If you make a formal appeal, you will be told why you were banned, assuming you actually don't know.

I think people who report people for dumb mistkes petty lowlifers. You can tell them to not do it againand you can just ignore it if it is a one time matter. Getting someone banned for a mistake is just dumb.

And to think you're more responsible than someone who might say the n-word once by accident is just hilarious. I am actually very reponsible, it's just that I get frustrated with lowlifers who can't tolerate tiny mistakes without whining about them or even go to get someone punished for it. It is uncalled for and you can tell people that is breaks the rules like a nice person would do.

What u said is quite understandable, but that doesn't mean u can call them lowlifers and yet here u keep insulting someone as a lowlifer. Maybe u r a very responsible person, but here u were showing me how u are being irresponsible.I didn't think that I'm more responsible than someone else, i am merely pointing out how u were being irresponsible. If the mistakes is so tiny or lack of evidence, the gm would have dismissed the case. As for the n-word, this server has 0 tolerance for it, i saw all the case that involved the n-word are banned, be it accident or not.

Reporting is to teach them what should not come out of their mouth a.k.a responsibility. for so of course
report =/= responsibility
report = getting people punished for breaking the rules(or teaching them the responsibility for when they create account and accept the t&c but some of us didn't read it), else why would it exist?

Please remember we have rules in place for a reason, and in the case of saying things in all chat and people being "petty" for not liking it, that's why you have buddy/guild chat. People shouldn't need to talk to a sea of racial slurs/offensive language just because other people feel the need to say it out loud.

That said, I'm going to close this thread as OP has already filed a ban-appeal, and his ban was not a result of "petty lowlifers who report for anything and everything because they have nothing better to do".
