[first i just have a quick technical question for anyone that knows: can anyone explain how elemental composition deals damage? does it just have both fire and poison element then averages the damage based on the monsters resistance(s) and m.def?]

anyway, i think ele comp ought to be a two line attack.
one line for fire/ice damage and one line for poison/lightning, and lower the magic attack and mastery a bit, or lower the elemental str a bit, or all of it, obviously to not make it OP
having a solid 1v1 attack that's not fire arrow or claw would be nice, and it would make the points in comp actually worth it. as it stands, magic claw is a more useful skill because it hits twice and has no element. unfortunate because i love comp, it looks great and it's really unique. the f/p in game description though is a bit, uh, nostalgic, shall we say?

i know, nobody uses it, and they seem redundant if your other 3rd job attacks are maxed, but this gives it more potential, especially because it's a totally neglected skill. i can see I/L using comp instead of spear more with this change. obviously spear would still be stronger 1v1 against just a lightning weak monster, but comp would be better for dual weak monsters. sounds hella niche but, i think the two line suggestion makes comp more worth it. it's possibly the most neglected 3rd job skill besides shadow web, (which was such an excellent skill idea back when hermits actually went out to grind and couldn't 1h everything. -shakes cane- i've met NLs who didn't even know they had that skill) or shadow meso (which i fully do not understand. does anyone even know now? is it a myth?)

i'm not an arch yet but i've heard from people that ice/fire demon are super super weak and don't work properly? feedback here would be cool

also i really think that the demon/ifrit/elquines summon relationship ought to be flipped. the summons are too slow to justify having to level both for a working beneficial relationship. the demon should make monsters weak to the elements (both, so paralyze and chain lighting get the effect.) you're proficent with (bosses as well). not as much as a normal weakness, but enough to justify this effect. hard to stress how much the 4th job investment doesn't make these skills worth it as is.
your summons should be ifrit for f/p, and elquines for i/l respectively. they really invalidate themselves i believe and because demon has such low damage output and because the summon is so slow it makes the dynamic a pointless endeavor.
to not break the elemental game for other mages or paladins, have it just work in weakening their elemental defense on the players side? arches having even a little extra bossing presence would be amazing.

I did some tests with my F/P mage and the fire demon seems to make the mobs weak to ice, as Eliquines damage went up from like 20k to 30k on a mob hit by fire demon and even my Paladin's ice blast attacks did x1.5 damage (I hit like over 80k on a neutral mob hit by fire demon even with like 7.8k range, and without the fire demon I only hit 50k and something). I guess they made it like this to exploit the weakness cause they wanted people to grind with fire demon+elquines, but the problem is that it's so weak compared to meteor that nobody uses it. Also the fire/ice weakness thing only works in mobs and not bosses

Also shadow web is not useless, I used the skill quite often when I played NL both in grinding/farming mobs and mostly in shaolin, you use it together with ninja storm to push mobs and keep them in place. It's kinda a must if you want to solo shao and not fail

I'm not sure about elemental composition cause I only got it lvl 1 lol

Not giving any feedback, but just answer your question regarding Elemental Composition. (My EC are maxed level)

    Regular both elements
    1.png 2.png

+50% fire, regular poison or vice versa = +50% damage
    3.png 4.png

-50% fire, regular poison or vice versa= -25% damage
    5.png 6.png

    +50% fire, +50% poison = still +50% damage
    7.png 8.png

regular fire, unaffect poison = -50% damage
    9.png 11.png

    Poison Breath hits 1 here
    10.png

There's more monster with different combination.
However I can't test out myself because I can't go outside Ludi (I'm Legoman ^_^').
Someone may feel free to check them out.

+50% fire, unaffect poison = ? (Kacchuu Musha)

Interesting that green trixter takes damage when it's poison resistant but the damage is still really low for fire damage.
And interesting phantom watch doesn't take 4x damage (or more than 2x I should say).

Thank you for taking the time to do that

Yeah I really want to max comp but explosion is really helpful when misting. Maybe in 4th lol
