I figured since I'm a true quest-hoe and don't really grind at all, I could write a list of all quests that are not working properly for me. The first letter represents what Class was played when the quest did not work. (T) Whalians and the Nautilus - Shining Stone - Doesn't work clicking the stone in the Generator Room (the actual NPC text appear but it does not complete the quest). (T) Legend of the Snail - Pia won't complete the last quest with the rainbow snail shell. (T) Assignment of a Sand Crew - A Supply from the Sand Crew - Eleska in Ariant won't complete the quest. (T) Learning the Culture of Ariant - Clicking the oasis does nothing. This is somewhat an important quest because it unlocks all the upcoming Ariant quests and the exp reward is yummy! (T) The Old Tree - None of the NPC's in Perion will talk to you. (T/M) Tae Gong's Love For His Wife - Clicking the [Accept] button does nothing. [STRIKE=notfixed]Fixed Next SC[/STRIKE] still not fixed.. (T/M) Tiger-Hunting - Clicking the [Accept] button does nothing. [STRIKE=notfixed]Fixed Next SC[/STRIKE] still not fixed.. (M) [STRIKE=fixed]I'm Bored 2 - Handing in the quest doesn't work anymore[/STRIKE]. FIXED! (M) Nella & Kerning City Citizen's Request - Andre's Request - This specifically glitches out for Mages, giving you no drops and cannot be completed once you have gathered the items required. (M) [STRIKE=fixed]Dr. Betty's Research on Plants - Activates the no drop quest glitch, but surprisingly the quest items drop from the plants. But I'm unable to finish the quest after gathering the items[/STRIKE]. This worked for ME but it could still be buggy for other people (T) The Missing Mechanical Parts - Choosing the ETC option with Assistant Cheng does not work, he's supposed to send you to a JQ where you collect the parts. (All) Helping Kriel Out - Empty Potion Bottle has a very low droprate (you obtain them from breaking crates around Orbis Town), I have broken at least 300+ crates and only found 7 bottles so far, and yes, I have had the quest active during all of it and it does not activate the no-drop Quest Glitch. Normal drop rate was around 60-70% iirc, so with 2x it should always drop. Some feedback considering some quests work with some classes but not others. I'll try to implement what class I played trying to complete a certain quest, because I completed "I'm Bored" with Icarus on my Thief, but for some reason it doesn't work on my Mage. I'll add a prefix before each quest so you can see which quest did not work for what class. W/B/M/T/P should suffice.
If possible please use the website MapleArchive for linking quests as it helps us a lot as we can easily find the Quest ID's and Item ID's through there. And from what I've seen it is very accurate. I think MapleArchive rips directly from the wz files. Thanks for posting these bugs though. I will sticky this post so that others can contribute. Dollhouse (Ludibrium) is currently bugged. Olson is supposed to teleport you to a room with dollhouses and he doesn't.
I also have this issue. Additionally, "Blocktopus is an alien" from the NPC dr. Kim in omega can't be turned in. I have the item to complete the quest, but when I speak to the NPC the dialogue just closes and nothing happens. Search shows that it's been an issue for 7 months-ish.
Chief Grays don't appear to drop the notes required to complete "eliminating chief gray" - or if they do, it's at 1/100 the rate they do in GMS.
"Eliminate Monsters from the Site" is bugged. http://maplearchive.com/quest-wp.php?id=2118 I can't receive the EXP or the items. Every time I talk to Winston, I do get the "Quest Completed" particle effect, but no rewards. I believe it has something to do with the monster count. For some reason, instead of capping at 300 Rocky Masks and 200 Wooden Masks, my count is at 304 and 205 respectively.
This worked fine for me not a week ago. The counter not stopping when you have reached the required ammount of kills doesn't matter, this quest just might be temporarily part of the quest glitch.
Drumming bunnies don't appear to drop dull crystal during the second quest related to them, terminating the dark force. I gathered 20 dull crystals in ~400 drums during the first quest, "the ore of dark crystal" and have now collected 0 in ~200 drums during "terminating the dark force."
"The Fallen Woods" one of the prequests for CWK exchange is bugged and cannot be started. You can speak to taggrin, which opens up a dialog box, but clicking the quest to attempt to start it does nothing.
There's the quest for the bowman with Athena Pierce at Henesys called "Beginner Bowman's Last Training" and it has a similar problem where I can't receive my exp and items after I've done the quest.
You simply have the quest glitch and just need to forfeit the quest and do it again. I know it works because I just did it on my legit on Friday with no issues.
I have a problem, today i do the zakum prequest the 1st and 2nd. I colected 30 gold zombie tooth but when i come back to speak with the npc i cant click on the 3rd quest to valid this. The jump quest take me 2hr and now i cant valid the third.........
