Fixed 1024x768 client resolution permanently changed

I'm always playing on the 1024 x 768 version of the client.

I accidentally alt enter (full screen mode), but after reverting to the windowed mode, the resolution is PERMANENTLY changed to the 800 x 600 window size, but with 1024 x 768 resolution.
eg: in the 1024 version, we expect 1024 x 768 resolution (map seeing more things) AND bigger window size to see them (so the visual doesn't shrink)
but in this bug: 1024 x 768 resolution (map seeing more things) BUT SMALLER window size to see them (so everything shrunk)

Solutions tried:
1. Restart PC
2. Reinstall client
3. Uninstall, and then install client

None of the above fixes the problem

The below is the comparison of the window size:
Left: 1024 x 768 client
Right: 800 x 600 client


Its obvious that, both clients have the same window size, but the left (1024 x 768) client has shrunk, tiny fonts are very difficult to read.

Please advice on a fix at my side, or a bug fix needs to be released.

 

can u try ticking/unticking this box? its in the properties of the .exe
