An oblique shock wave is an inclined wave with respect to the incident upstream flow direction. It occurs when supersonic floe encounters a corner that effectively diverts the flow into itself, causing a compression. The upstream streamlines are uniformly deflected.
Subsonic aircrafts' maximum speed are around Mach 0.85. If our commercial planes fly faster than that, for sure we'll reach our destinations faster but our fuels burn like crazaaay. This is exactly why flights that take 17hours for example, will never be done in 10 hours although we have more than enough capability to do so. Mother nature first.
If an aircraft's hydraulic system fails, it has 2 more back up systems prepared. This is the same for many other systems in the aircraft. Planes are too safe now.
No offence to Russians here but your country makes the worst planes on the planet. You get a lightning strike mid air and zap, your systems shut down. Plane lands horribly and your engines burst into flames. People died. Where are your discharging rods lul
Instrument Landing System is a method of approach to a runway. It's expensive to operate and maintain. It is an auto pilot landing that helps pilots to reach the runway in bad weather. In case of extreme bad weather, the pilot disengages all A/P and land the last 50 feet cuz an automated landing is more dangerous than a good ol' manual landing.
China wants a piece of the airline industry so they made the COMAC C919 narrow body aircraft. Suppose to compete with the A320 and B737 but we'll see how good they really are.
