I've been working on this project for a while, it's a bit of a work in progress but I figured it needed to be released sooner rather than later and I'll just update it as we move along! Feel free to add your own input and thoughts as to where you think any good grinding spots are, and I'll be sure to edit them in and touch this up. Spoiler: Edits: My plan was to spoiler the level brackets, but I just spent over 45 minutes fighting with the spoiler tag and it kept putting spoiler tags in the middle of sentences. Even when I was going back and deleting them they still appeared after I clicked save changes.... Not going to fight it anymore, just going to leave it as it is. Maybe I'll come back to it in the future. Edit: I've came back to it in the future and it's still being dumb. This time I wasted almost 2 hours trying to use the BB code editor, and manually changing them one step at a time. It still broke the spoiler tags... Oh well lol IMPORTANT NOTES: This guide is geared towards newer players who cannot afford to leech or buy Orbis exchange etcs, or for people who enjoy grinding! The EXP estimates provided for the mobs do NOT include our built-in bonus party EXP system. The more active members in your party killing, the more EXP you will receive. You can get an additional 10% per ACTIVE party member for bonus EXP. A full party of 6 will equal 60% bonus EXP so it is extremely important to grind with others. The level estimate is a bit rough, it's been awhile and I forgot to document what level I was when/where etc... So take that with a grain of salt. I've followed this guide for a few of my other alts while leveling and I've managed pretty well, it all comes down to preference I suppose! If you are funded and want to grind, results may vary and you can probably try some of the higher level maps a bit earlier. This is a general summary of some of the best (in my opinion) places to grind. It DOES NOT take into consideration Warrior accuracy, or ranged attackers. If you are a warrior my best advice would be to keep 40 base DEX and use accuracy potions until you can APR your DEX out after making up the accuracy range elsewhere. (DEX gear, Zhelm, Maple Weapons, etc.) I've tried to offer some areas like Hoodoos/Voodoos and Straw Target Dummies for ranged alternatives, but I've never personally grinded any ranged characters. I've leveled a BM with this guide and for the most part I stuck to ToT and Ellin for grinding spots towards the higher levels. I opted to go for Quest Specialist, and made quite a bit of levels (I was mid 80s by the time I was finished.) I also collected Monster Book cards at the same time, and the natural grinding leveled me up pretty quick! Some maps might not be as viable as others, and that's because I'm trying to break away from the standard areas that are already over saturated. Feel free to check out the maps for yourself, and let me know your EXP ratios! Please keep in mind of the bonus EXP party system too! It's best to make friends and grind together with them, especially when you get to the higher levels. If you can make 10% within 5-10 minutes then it's an optimal spot to grind. (The higher level you are, the slower it might be 120+) Previous leveling / leeching guides: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/catlaunchs-training-guide.12021/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/leeching-guide-updated-2020.145533/ @Zancks has made a Bossing Guide with some useful information too! https://royals.ms/forum/threads/zancks-bossing-guide.196246/ Here is probably one of the best quest guides we have in the game so far, feel free to explore and check out the quests in your "available" tab as well. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/quests-worth-doing.106856/ Leveling Guide: Level 1-10 Maple Island Level 10-15 Job Quest Lightbulbs Slime The Forest South of Ellinia - Dungeon Southern Forest I EXP without HS: 32 EXP with HS: 35 Level 15-30 Quests Find quests worth doing in here! How to Make Friends: 1. don't be an asshole 2. don't steal loot from bossing / apq 3. be nice welcome to my TEDtalk.
Zombie Lupins are godly for hunters in the early 30s. Probably bad for every other class though... The first mobs in Ninja Castle have less hp than boars and like twice the EXP. Dunno how good the spawn/map is though for them though.
I’d suggest adding: 30-51: Truckers 51-70: Windraiders: Lower Ascent Pirates: There’s a really good map near PPQ with Kru/Captains, Red Nose Pirate Den 2. They’re lvl 68/70. 80-100: You could also do Typhoons. I hear it’s still pretty good with the classes that can do it.
Suggestions: - Being clear in the description that this is a guide for grinding rather than leveling per se - Tiering sections so that people aren't flooded with a giant list without knowing which locations are more efficient - Richie's egg event should be highlighted as it can save many hours of tedious grinding pre-120 particularly in the slow-leveling segments General Things: CPQ1/CPQ2 are probably superior in terms of exp gain compared to most locations for most classes for 30-70 MP3 is far superior to GS1-5 since new source nerf Some locations listed are good leeching maps but would not be good grinding maps tbh (e.g. book ghosts) 'Newer' areas tend to have better hp:exp ratios. Notable examples include NLC and World Tour (particularly Singapore and Malaysia) 4th job skill quests provide excellent exp at 12x - More experienced players who are willing to invest in certain gear / attack pots can opt to 'power level' at select locations. There are also some neat class-specific locations: Spoiler MP3 is excellent for I/Ls who have good enough INT gear to hit these things at lower levels from about ~level 35, and for swordsmen who have enough accuracy, str and weapon attack gear to hit them from level 30 Gobies similarly (though will need a bishop to bomb houses) from level 43 onwards Ulu2 from level 70; again, only if gear is good enough to a) not miss 80-100% of the time and b) kills them fast enough to make this worthwhile - F/P can go to petri/skeles from level ~75 ish (having a bishop on standby is helpful but not required) - C/B can bomb BFs (amongst other bosses if they can survive) from 7x - Food for thought There are a few quests that provide lots of exp, that do not require overpriced iTCG items. From memory the 'quests worth doing' thread doesn't take into account exp gain For rich people wanting to iTCG their mules doing the nautilus warp card quest saves lots of teleport rocks A lower level dojo party designed to run until the Elin Forest boss is probably quite good for exp. It will need to be strong enough to get past Papa Pixie and Lord Pirate Overall there is a lot of potential for this thread to be useful for new and old players alike. I would caution not to degrade it down to a long list; rather, individualising to classes / background knowledge / funds / gear available to the player would prove to be (a lot more work, yes, but) much more useful.
I appreciate your feedback! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out and giving your input. Allow me to explain my thinking for a little bit! The main reason why I opted to leave out the funded players route is because if they are funded and have been here for a long time then they already know about the etc grind, where to go, etc. This is more aimed at newer/unfunded players. I'm trying not to information overload them, but I have a feeling as this list progresses it'll be a huge information dump lol I see that you're also passionate about this as I am, so feel free to PM me and we can collaborate a detailed list, and mark everything down together.
What about Ludi Maze PQ, for levels 51 to 70? or that doesn't work / isnt worth doing, still dont know...
LMPQ is ok, exp-wise, but its not as good as CPQ2 so nobody runs it. CPQ2 is run on the same lvl range 51-70, so most people go there
