Does anyone else use heartstopper to train on regular mobs (ie. Oblivion 4)? I always chug them when I am doing boss runs/solo bosses (HH/BF/Blackcrow/etc.) However I tend to only use warrior elixers on normal mobs, the way I see it, it is like paying 15m/hr to level faster 2-3hit w/DS vs 5-6 without stoppers...or am I just having weak Bucc problems? lol
@ccwmpub My go-to attack potions for OB4 are usually Gizer's or Ciders and likewise on the area bosses you listed I do too use heartstoppers for a quicker kill on them ! & on the last statement depends on your level & gear but that's where stun mastery comes in handy! STUN & CRIT FOR THOSE SHINY RED NUMBERS
Pretty sure it's just Red Emerald Earrings at Sleepy gach, not gold ones. Also spoiler tag is broke here! Boss timers are released now so that bit can be updated too.
I have a question for you fellow Buccs. OP mentioned that some bosses can hit almost 20k DMG!! But HP washing isn't required?? Is this because I should be utilizing iFrames? Or because Buccs will eventually be able to tank 20k? I'm just wondering because I'm lv 72 right now with about 80 total Int. I'm not sure if I will be useless later on. If yes I would like to start a new character so I'm not wasting time. Thanks all!
Hey. I’m a 145 bucc and washed hp with 212 base int and 70 int from items, till level 135. Currently I’m with 12.5k hp and 4.5k mp, I want to wash more but that’s just too expensive. You definitely need to have 8k+ atleast at your hp bar, so the krex eye won’t 1 hit ko you, and that’s still awesome to have more hp than without washing.
Thanks!! So damn, I should probably start a new character with more base int then? edit: so how come OP says that HP washing isn't necessary for Buccs? I'm just curious because the last update on the guide is still pretty recent, Aug 2017.
I think 80 base int is enough. There is a hp washing calculator on google or this forum, you can check there how much hp you can have at 135. Well, hp washing is not a MUST, but lets say you missclick and accidently find yourself at zak body? (9.4k body damage). You can survive without hp washing but you will have to watch your hp very closely.
Confirmed where? I've found a post confirming they were removed from Sleepy gachapon in 2014 but nothing else about them.
Hey so according to the latest source update, a change was included for Buccs for lowered skill delay Barrage and Dragon Strike. Would anyone happen to have a comparison for the differences in speed? I was hoping it'd be as fast as the post BB dragon strike.
Hi! This was a very well-written guide and I enjoyed reading it. I am planning to start a little Brawler and I will level it in the old-fashioned way (= by not getting leeched) because I enjoy this way more. Now, I know that I can deal more damage with Sommersault Kick using weapons such as Spears, Polearms and Swords, but my question is: Will I deal equal damage with an X attack spear, as I will with an X attack 2H Sword, or are there differences here (like, multipliers). So in essence, do I go with the highest attack weapon I can get, or should I choose a specific type of weapon? Also, while reading I noticed something that I believe is incorrect. The quest chain giving Silver Deputy Star is called "Bounty Hunter", and I believe the last of the quests (the 5th, if you will) is called "Bounty Master"
I have now made my Pirate, and it is clear to me that the same multipliers which Spearmen deal with doesn't apply to Pirates. According to this (very nice) source: https://ayumilovemaple.wordpress.com/2009/09/06/maplestory-formula-compilation/ General Formula MAX = (Primary Stat + Secondary Stat) * Weapon Attack / 100 MIN = (Primary Stat * 0.9 * Skill Mastery + Secondary Stat) * Weapon Attack / 100 Stats and Multipliers: Spear (Swinging) Primary: STR * 3.0 Secondary: DEX Spear (Stabbing) Primary: STR * 5.0 Secondary: DEX Now this probably only applies to Warriors, because the damage range of my Pirate is far less than it would be with a warrior (which was also expected - otherwise Pirates would easily outdamage warriors in 1st job) Tomorrow I will tweak with the multiplier in the above formula, but I believe the formula for Pirate could be completely different. It was also interesting to notice, that the span between lowest and highest damage is very big when using Spear. At Lv.25, by range is roughly x~10x
I'm 136 right now, with 21 and 18 in barrage and dragon strike respectively, and I feel pretty slow at bossing. Can I expect a significant increase when I get super transformation and demolition?
Thanks for the clarification. One more question -- is ToT far worse than bossing? My clean range is 4.3k for reference. Edit: Or any other grinding zone for that matter.
This is true. I got around 6perc at O4 in an hour , vs approx 15perc in a one and half hour ht at lvl189. The difference for me is that: 1. You can only ht twice a day 2. Bossing has a huge downtime (ie: recruiting and gathering people, waiting for party members to shower , looking at you @Andrea) 3. The run could have DCs, slowing it down drastically All that said, don't sweat it. Enjoy the game, maybe chill in the fm too and have fun!
So I'm at lv 124 and soloing HH. 1 thing I find that using Energy Drain at normal form has a faster delay between 2 skills than at Transformation form. Is this a bug?
GMS has always been that way until the balance patch some time after v83. Royals staff cannot fix that since it's a client side shit thing
