Here is my keyboard setup the Macro 3 is just a booster with "~mapowner" yelling to check map owner when needed macro E is Wing + recort shot to run faster
thanks that helped a lot, i made some changes to mine by seeing yours and im a lot more comfortable playing.
Comparing two videos, same start location and it took 5 <Shots + Slides> for Recoil Shot + Wings Macro, While only 4 <Shots + Slides> for Recoil Shot + Wings + Wings Macro to reach the far right of the map. P.S. Not sure if this way really moves faster, for the height 2 ways' jump can reach is different, hence the time staying in air cannot be compared by the jump times, however I feel like last way is faster.
So it's still bugged? (a lot of guides aren't up-to-date about what is vs what isn't bugged). Is that the main reason? Or is it cause it's considered useless? it sounds kinda useful to me...
"Im guessing either this or its just useless most of the time" @Tect Sorry I didn't update it on time! I was busy working right now that I didn't have enough time to update this guide but I will keep updating this whenever I have time! Hypnotize works perfectly fine now The reason i didn't put point on it is because it just a fun skill, it makes a monster to became your side and attack other monsters in a short period of time, doesn't affect with bosses! It's useless most of the case Currently all skills of Corsair work perfectly fine!
So, hello, I just started my Sair project days ago, I decided to go with 250 base INT, since I'm aiming to hit the 12k HP "sweet-spot", just in case if PB / Neo Tokyo ever gets released, I can run them with HB. The problem is with the leveling part, having 250 base INT must have made the characters quite weak (I'm Lv30 atm), I intend to leech it all the way up to 155, but it does not seem possible, cost efficiency-wise (or is it possible?) because I was informed that the highest level mob for leeching would be just Skele (which is awkward since the EXP should diminish significantly especially when you climb to Lv155, Lv140 onwards). So, in short, I was wondering how fellow Sairs or other classes with such high base INT grind or boss? I was told that you can ask your beloved friends to carry you through bosses like Zak/Krexel (but tbh those sound pretty intense). As common sense, I don't think I can plead for a boss carry all the time... So, I was thinking if I would be fine as an attacker despite the high base INT, if let's say, I go bossing at Lv130 onwards. Would it be tedious? or a Lv30 Battleship Cannon with high base power could make my damage at least on par with an average Sair?
I don't mind the grind, which I'm still going thru at Lv143 as I started HP washing really really late. Didn't wanna remake so here I am. I'm a pot miser, so I usually camp at Dukus and "snipe" them one-by-one with Battleship Cannon. Switch to Int gear at about 98-99% and then Gaviota/Wrath of Octopi to level up. Once a while I get the urge to solo Krex since I hear it's decent EXP, but doing it alone without HS/SE etc is really painful. IF you ever get to 135 (Krex ready), I'd be open to partying up for Krex runs. It'll be slow but I'm hoping to find similar people, or Sairs, open to this idea. Good luck!
I mean we could find a few people and do it. Oh wait, I forgot, Krexel is meant to be Duo, is it? It's gonna be as tiring as Duo pap, man that sounds really tough. Tbh if Krexel doesn't give a level or two at lv135+ after an hour work, it's gonna feel really depressing. I'm starting to wonder if I should MP wash so I could get to the HP goal early, at least during leachable levels, so it would feel less suffering EDIT: I just ran the calculator, apparently I can reach the goal significantly earlier (at lv90) if I did MP wash, although that would cost a high amount of NX, making the project one year plus to fully reset, but that's not the problem, I can at least finish the HP increment part first (ignore the high base INT) and sell leech to get mesos to buy APR for Sair to hasten the progress... I think. I felt at least it's less tedious to do so compared to grinding at Duku and relying on friends in Krex / Zak since I can already start adding DEX lv90 onwards...
not sure if the owner of this guide is active, but in third job I really suggest maxing gaviota over the flame skill. Gaviota can be cast at any time with zero delay, which makes it free additional DPS and is useful for bossing, whereas you probably will never use the flame skill again after third job.
Hi, I'm still active Gaviota surely has zero delay, but when you bossing, how can you use Gaviota instead of Octopus? That additional DPS from Gaviota is just troublesome when you have to mount/dismount/octopus, avoid attack from boss, ... Flamethrower can be use for high damage and quick kill multiple targets.
Because it has zero delay, You DONT have to use it INSTEAD of octopus. Octopus on the other hand has delay, so you are losing the ability to use battleship cannon when you cast octopus, whereas you don't lose battleship cannon shots when you cast gaviota. Basically, if you use it, its additional DPS, and I just find it much more useful than the flame skill which doesn't actually do that high damage. Also in most situations I find myself in, I've often elected to just battleship cannon down mobs one by one over using a mob skill because of how strong battleship cannon is.
I don't understand this one??? It is only 1 or 2 cannons, while Octopus has a duration of 40 sec, Gaviota just hit 1 shot and done, you have to cast it again. Also, Octopus has a buff in 4th job while Gaviota doesn't. I can't understand your logic.
From BBB: https://bbb.hidden-street.net/character/skill/gaviota Level 30: MP -20; Basic attack 450, for 30 seconds. Gaviota does not just hit 1 shot? It lasts for 30 seconds and continues to hit monsters during that time, just like how octopus lasts for 40 seconds and hits monsters during that time. To further explain the delay, what I mean to say is that when you cast octopus, you lose 1 or 2 shots of battleship cannon. Whereas, when you cast gaviota, you do not lose 1 or 2 shots of battleship cannon because there is no delay. Also I assumed that you could also use gaviota and octopus together. I'm guessing that maybe it doesn't work this way on royals? Maybe it just fires one shot and disappears, and you cannot use it together with octopus. In that case, you are right and you should just leave this skill at lv15.
Have you ever played Corsair or is there any problem to mine? My Gaviota is gone after 1 hit. btw, Octopus can do 24 hits and 15.5k damage in average (my range: 3041-5514, dex: 999+215). The damage is obviously higher than that from cannon.
Yep. Gaviota is one cast, one hit and gone. It doesn't stay there for 30 seconds similar to Wrath of Octopi.
I am wrong in that case. I've played corsair on other servers and I assumed that the skill worked the same. On the other servers, Gaviota remains like octopus, and furthermore, you could also use it with octopus with even more damage. However, I really do think that if gaviota hits 1 time and then goes away, that the skill is bugged on royals. I am fairly certain that its suppose to continously hit monsters throughout its 30 second duration, or at least thats how its worked on all of the other bbb servers i played corsair on.
