the amount of hp u get per wash is not the same as the amount of hp u get when u lvl up o.o flat 20 wld be washing with aprs
how much HP and MP per level up we get then? i'll take the lowest number and calculate with that. (no surprises if i go from lowest gain)
Does octopus and gaviota summons trigger damage reflects back to the sair? Or Nothing happens to the sair? Edit: I found out octopus does not trigger damage reflect's reflection. It is safe to summon octopus on a boss that uses damage reflect.
Is elemental boost's damage boost additive or multiplicative? So for max flamethrower @ 160% damage, does it become 360% (200%+160%) or 480% (200%, which is 3x in this case)
I have been convincing a lot of guildies to make Corsair lately and linking them to this guide. I figured I should post my keyboard set up here since I keep having to SS it and show them. So now I can just CopyPasta a link here and they get all the info they need. Been playing sair for like 4.5 years now and this is what I found optimum. I really stretch out the use of all five fingers and keep rotations near each other, very WoW-ish. Brief explanation: Octo+Ship Macro on T, use that to mount if Octo off CD, if just regular mounting/dismounting just use R. The only CDs I keep track of on the Quick Slots are Ship, Aerial Strike, Octo, and Hero's Will aka Pirate's Rage. Sometimes I play with moving Gun Booster to CTRL, but I like Q for now, it feels quicker to me?
Hi, I have a really old pre-new source outlaw, lvl 75, that I never bothered to wash or do anything with and has been gathering dust since around 2015. I've got a few questions: 1- Would it be viable to get this character to a bossing level if I start HP washing relatively late? Note I'm lvl 75. 2- What would be a good HP goal for this class? 3- Would the relatively new Magatia HP quest replace washing partly/entirely in this situation?
Depends on which play style you enjoy. I have a 12k hp sair (hp quest only) and can do every boss. Only need hb at toad, and its nothing to fuss about anyways.
simple but EXTREMELY helpful tip: instead of battleship cannon, use a macro with battleship cannon, either x1 or x3. The game handles macros differently than "naked" skills, and when you press the macro once when remounting, the cannon will be buffered to fire immediately when the ship is ready. x1 gives you more control, but x3 is more muleable. this is infinitely better than spamming the cannon button while remounting and hoping you shoot your shot on the same frame that the ship comes out also going to echo what others have said about the SP build: lv1 cannon is absolute dogshit and lv11 cannon should be prioritized over any additional points in battleship. why would I want to increase the durability of my ship when I have no reason to get on it in the first place? my recommended skill build would go like: lv120: 1 rapid fire, 1 octopi, 1 airstrike lv121: 1 battleship, 2 cannon lv122-124: 3 cannon lv 125-127: 3 battleship then skill order would be max cannon -> max rapid fire -> max bullseye (yes I think rapid fire > bullseye, especially if you plan to get a lot of exp from chao who eviscerates your ship as soon as he starts summoning boars)
This makes sense, lvl 1 cannon is weaker than burst fire or lvl 1 rapid fire so there's almost no reason to use it except for it's better range
Is there a reccommendation at which lvl i can do HH and bigfoot? Sadly the Videos arent available anymore - thanks in advance
I am gonna try to play a meme solo/ironman Corsair without battleship - or at least up to level ~155. What's a good skill build to plan for? Not sure how useful Air Strike, Elemental boost and Octopi are. I think something like: 120: + 1 Rapid Fire, 1 Elemental boost (for the extra freeze second), + 1 Air Strike? 120-130 - Rapid Fire - Do daily HP on repeat + Collect cards for medal. 130-136 - Bullseye - Start killing big area bosses (Anego, BF, Samurai, Pianus) + Daily Ellin/Pap. 137-147 - Elemental Boost or Airstrike? 147-157 - Cannon if transition to "non-meme sair", other AOE skill otherwise. 157-160 - Ship. Maybe octopi? 160-170 - Torpedo - can start doing LHC.
I only took a cursory look, so I apologise for missing out on you mentioning these things. I feel like this guide could use an expanded section on corsair movement. The only thing you mention is the macro, which is handy sure, but it could use more. For instance, jumping and shooting cannon while airborne maneuvering against the knockback makes knockback heavy bosses much easier as a corsair, raising your overall DPS since you dont lose time having to dismount to maneuver around. With constant jump shooting with the boat you can keep the perfect distance at all times (and avoid boss attacks that only hit the ground level like against Rose Garden boss or BGA mass stun). I didnt see you mentioning gaviota dismounting, which can be added to a boat macro, just an overall DPS boost since gaviota is 0 frame for casting. It should also be mentioned that you should manual cancel a few things. For instance Hyper Body is corsair cryptonite since it breaks your boat much faster against bosses than 1/1 often (unless you're a god and never get boat hit by 1/1 at HT, which I cannot do). When you get stunned, you cant dismount ship either, so you can manual cancel it by right clicking the icon at the top right corner since you dont want to take boat damage while stunned. Another noteworthy addition would be the so called 'Flying dutchman maneuver'. You can mount your boat while hovering on wings and shoot your cannon midair while moving at high speeds, backwards too. This is especially useful when farming mobs as a corsair. This can even be paired with getting a lot of speed from using the movement macro on slopes (wings will retain the speed from the slope jump), giving you nightlord levels of speed in some circumstances while being able to fight at the same time. None of these things are just partytricks, they actually help a lot and make corsair gameplay much more satisfying to learn. Jump shooting with the boat is especially important. Some of the bosses could use expansion too, like switching to white potions against Showa Boss (grandpa) and hovering at 300hp so your ship doesnt break despite constant 1/1.
Am I not understanding your question? All you have to do to summon octupi is by pressing the skill “octopi” while sitting in your battleship. Are you talking about the battleship + octopi macro?
