questioning this part of the guide: (2) 7,600 HP by Level 155 This can also be achieved without the need for base INT; however it would be a lot more difficult, as you would require really good INT equipment to cover the necessary MP required. As an alternative, you may, of course, choose to add base INT instead of acquiring INT equipment, that’s entirely up to you. Recommended Total INT: 90 – 110 (Before Level 70) Approx. 2,900 HP to gain, done within 132 washes or 1,584 excess MP *Be sure to wash using fresh AP gained from Level Up Approx. Total Cost: 1,320,000,000 mesos + 10,000,000 for every AP you have added into INT Levels to Wash at: Starting from Level 70, as and when you have enough MP for the next wash. Lets assume we use recommended int as 100. we gain 10 excess mp that way. in order to get 1584 excess mp we need to level up 159 times isn't it? and this also assumes we have 100int starting from lvl 1 which is almost impossible? am I doing the math wrong here?
What @Egonics said isn't entirely true. You barely get any excess MP from leveling, but you do get quite a bit of excess MP just from your standard gear (Zhelm, Dep star, HTP) and job advancement. This accounts for 30-40 washes alone.
What they meant, is that gear like Deputy star and Zakum helmet give you free INT, which alongside your base INT will help you gain more MP as you level up.
the discussion is getting steered in another direction. given we add all the intel from htp and other items and it gets to 100int as sila recommends, will I have enough excess mp to wash to 7.8 at 155? Egonics says yes. because of excess mana from level ups. not accounting for the intel that I have already included. marty says no because that base mana from level up is nearly negligible.
So how important is HP washing? I understand you need it to boss at an earlier level, but if you don't do it, will you still be able to boss eventually, albeit at a higher level?
HP Washing is pretty important for bossing even at higher levels. You'll need to wash a little bit to fight bosses even at level 200. Back in the day wren v.62 was relevant, people used their AP into their HP because they didn't want to spend money on AP Resets or they resorted to using HP equips in order to survive.
can you help me? I wanna do the number 3 for washing so 11,500. do i have to leave that INT base until level 175? Wouldn't that make it really hard to fight, being doing so much luk? when would I be able to actually start using my character? I have 50 int in equips right now, and i would be able o get up to 300 in base by level 60 right? what level do you think i would be able to stop leeching and start actually playing the game?
@Christopher Chance Sorry, I'm not sure on that... Hope the guy I just tagged can elaborate a bit more. After all, he wrote most of the HP washing section.
Thanks for answering my question. Assuming i wanted to get the 7xxx hp needed for HT at 155 without HB, could I still achieve it even if I add base int now? I have a bit of access DEX and can add about 20 or so into INT and I've already washed 25 times. I have 41xx hp now at level 116. i'm sorry for asking such a foolish question. math is not my forte. if there is no way please tell me why and what is salvageable please. Just making plans for Pink bean if it ever gets released.
There's almost no way for you to get 7k HP by 155, unless you spend a bunch of meso on resetting luk/dex to int. To get 7k HP, you would need about 130 washes, which would require washing 1500+ MP. To get 1500 excess MP in just 39 levels (116 to 155), you would have to gain about 40 MP per level, which would mean having 400 INT every time you level. These are rough numbers and don't include your current base MP or the HP/MP gain at 4th job, but hopefully you get the picture. In general, you won't get to do much HP washing unless you've been leveling with INT for many levels.
I have a question. I'm in the process of washing a thief at the moment and I'm going to aim for 11,500 HP by Level 175. It says to start the HP washing process at level 70 so does that mean that at level 70 I need to begin to save AP to wash and start washing? Or can I start saving AP at an earlier level and use that to wash?
