    Ugh, thank you for being the person that you are. I didn't understand it until now. I'll be washing very soon, after I get the hang of the server! Thank you thank you! ~f14

    Something to consider with the 2nd job skill build recommended here. Maxing Critical throw before mastery sounds good in theory by a DPS standpoint, but at this level, what matters is consistent 1 hit kills on mobs you are grinding at. I maxed Critical Throw first, and I wish I hadn't. While grinding at Platoon Chronos, I found that my damage range was way too wide to reliably 1 hit kill them. At level 40 I hit between 1200 damage and 3600 with Lucky 7. Needing to hit 2100ish damage to 1 hit kill them, I would have been better off maxing mastery first to up my min damage range to the point where I could always 1 hit kill.

    Lucky Seven is not affected by Claw Mastery. This formula is used to calculate maximum and minimum damage:

    That can't be true, I've noticed a huge difference since adding mastery. 4 levels (12 Mastery and 20 luk) has increased my min damage from 600 to 900 with no changes to weapon attack. That formula wouldn't account for 212 luk to 232 Luk causing a 50% increase in minimum damage.

    86 attack throughout the levels, change in luk has been from 212 to 232
    Max(naught) = (212*5) *86 Atk/100 = 911.6
    Min(naught) = (212*2.5)* 86Atk/100 = 455.8

    Max = (232*5) * 86/100 = 997.6
    Min = (212*2.5)*86/100 = 498.8

    With my level 24 Crit Throw which is 182% if crit that means the "highest/lowest" that should be seen is

    911.6*1.82 = 1659
    455.8*1.82 = 829.5

    997.6*1.82 = 1815.6
    498.8*1.82 = 907.8

    I wasn't counting my lowest crit value when saying my range was 1200-3600 before and the same as it is now 1800-4600. Regardless, something is majorly skewed. I'm hitting higher than I should be able to now, and lower than I was then.

    You forgot to account for lucky seven doing 150% damage at max level.

    That's okay, I graduated HS and took a year of college and I can't look at the calculations without my head spinning. Some people just aren't good at math :p

    @Sila , Where'd you get that awesome agender sig? I just adore it ~f14

    @DearLeader , Critical hit max does wonders for my attack, I don't have much weap attk, but our range is around the same without maxing Mastery Claw yet. Maybe it was because you were testing out your range/att on magical monsters? o-o

    Not directly, still 5.6k before HB so you can tank the 9k damage WITH HB. However, it's highly recommended to have more so that if you do get fucked over by poorly timed skills from HT, you're safe. It's just like before, 5.6k minimum but it's now even better to have more HP; it's always better to have more HP.

    Any advice on training areas for a lv. 78 hermit? I've been at voodoos for a few levels but the exp is starting to slow down. i went and tried death teddies but they took too long to kill, stormbreakers are the same; windraiders are about 3 hit kill with SP. My range is 716~1233, i have 70 dex and wear dex equips to wear my 55 atk scarab, nothing changes much with warrior potions. any advice is welcome, thank you.

    GS2 should still be decent experience or golems, since your range is not that high.

    If you like questing you could do some mini boss quest lines. Furthermore you could buy leech at WS which is good experience at your level, this will cost you 40 million mesos though.

    you could also try water goblin/samiho , the map before himes, its decent experience and it is not crowded.

    You should find away to increase your damage else training will be a pain in the future

    @Sam P I would try and see if you could find a grinding party at wolf spiders. You might be one of the slower killers but the exp is still great. There's normally a couple of parties around.

    MesoGears – Wolf Spider Cavern (As Vic said you'll be one of the slower attackers, but the fast EXP from being in a party will make up for it. Everyone gets into a routine once you get going, you'll probably be better off sticking to the sides to snipe the middle few spiders until you're strong enough to start killing more. Work on your shadow partner while you're here, following the skill build mentioned.)
    LV. 75+: Windraiders + Stormbreakers ( Lower Ascent)
    Windraiders and such are good if you're fast at killing and you've figured a good rotation for the map. There's warp points along the map, I might go back and take a video later of my old rotation. The spawn here isnt as good as it should be, but if WS are full or boring this is a fun, albeit slower alternative.

    I have a feeling you might be better off at Newties.

    Your hit rate is too low in the mid 7x so no, newts are not better. Especially if you're just an average player with average equips, without access to end game gear +MW20 etc.

    Deep Ludi monsters? I really don't like the map layout for Wolf Spiders.

    The best mobs for deep ludi are Death Teddies, MDTs, Spirit vikings, gigantic viking, dual pirates and grims. And I believe they're all mid 8x, so it'd be worth trying but solo grinding there wouldn't be as good as partying at WS. I hate the map there too, but it's quick levels at that point.

    So with the changes in the hp requirement for HT, to reach 9k by 155, is it safe to say i'll need about 200 int? or more?

    The hp requirement didn't change, unless you want to ht without a drk.
