You are correct in saying that the house doesn't "belong to you" but it is yours to USE for that period of time because you are paying rent.
Answer me this. Let's say the server restarted and all the shops are down. I go to fm 1 and grab a door spot. Are you saying that it's not my spot because I didn't pay for it?
Nope! As you'll have noticed, none of the staff who've expressed an opinion here are in favour of making this a bannable offence. I also don't see any reason for us to support or defend this behaviour either. If people want to indulge in buying/selling maps, they do so at their own risk.
Even if you set your shop at a spot first, the spot isn't actually "yours", the shop is urs, but not the spot. The ksing rule is just a lame and stupid stuff that the community as a whole decided on, and its even worse to sell the map.
I don't want to derail this thread, but it kind of irks me a lot that you are saying the KSing rule is "lame and stupid". I am very glad that the rule is here because it gives everyone an equal chance to level in peace without the constant fear or threat of harassment from people who are inconsiderate and selfish. The culture of KSing is obnoxious, immature, self-centred and of zero value to the community. While it may be exciting initially to those involved in the KS war, it quickly escalates and turns ugly, tearing rifts between communities. It seems very myopic to say that the rule is lame and stupid just because you are having difficulties finding a training spot. Maple is all about community, and thus I don't see how protecting a gracious community is in any way "stupid" or "lame". Please reconsider.
The spot is mine for that period of time. That's what I'm getting at. (I'm only talking about the ksing point that Blue brought up, not the fact that you should be able to sell a map)
Hi, I'll just say this, in my opinion selling maps is detestable and it will garner you a lot of negativity from the community. I don't think its worth earning peoples hate just to earn some mesos. Although, there are no rules saying that you can't sell the map so you can do this at your own risk. The problem here is that whoever is willing to spend 2-3 hours waiting for someone to give up a gs2 map or is willing to buy one just to train there says that they are lazy (my opinion don't get butthurt about it). From my experience of grinding my cleric there, all you do is sit in one spot and hold down a button. I have fallen asleep many times while training there. There have been many suggestions as to where you can train elsewhere and if you didn't waste your time waiting for gs2 then you might have actually gotten some training done. If you are smart then you will find somewhere else to go and train instead of wasting your time waiting for a gs2 map to open. tl;dr Shame on you map sellers! Go try the suggested training areas before you complain about gs2 always being full and there being no where to train >.>
Yes, but we are the second best server and we don't have it. And the first best server is post-bb so it doesn't count. = my logic Back on topic: In my opinion, he can save the map/sell the map to whomever he wants along as he/she is attacking the mobs till she/he comes.
Ksing itself is bad and selfish, i understand, but this stupid and lame ksing rule has got to the point where killing on the other side of the map that the person isn't even using is consider ksing. That's what makes the rule lame+stupid+retarded.
