The Admins restore characters in batches, so it could range anywhere from weeks to months to get it restored. We can't really give an eta because we don't know what the eta is. I understand your frustration, but taking it out on Staff doesn't speed up the process. I'm sorry that isn't the answer you want to hear, but that's the only answer we can give right now.
Hello Becca, Thank you for responding. I am aware of this, and so I waited 1 month initially before asking for an update. Knowing this, with my last comment towards Dave and requesting a different GM to respond, I did not request for a time frame on when my mule will be restored, but if it will be restored. I'm not sure you read the thread in its entirety. I am not requesting my mule to be restored at a sooner time, nor have I ever stated it needs to be done sooner. In fact, Dave is the one that mentioned he would request an exception if there was a valid reason. I have not taken my frustration out on Dave. I have simply pointed out multiple statements that his initial questions are unclear, which leads to misunderstanding. If Dave have simply stated his reasonings behind his questions, things would have been so much simpler, and have no conflict. But me putting all of these points have all been (mostly) ignored by Dave, and he was primarily stuck on my saying: Could I have changed my wording to replicate what Dave said to "my mule isn't being prioritized", instead of saying : Sure, I could have. But I mean.... it's the same thing, is it not? Knowing that my mule will be restored eventually, I will end my response with this. No, I believe this thread is being distorted to frame me in being biased towards you.
Just to clarify, character restoration is a courtesy we offer to help players recover characters that were accidentally deleted. We restore characters in batches, and the timing of these restorations can vary depending on other internal priorities. It's not an immediate priority compared to active gameplay issues, bug fixes, or event maintenance. Since your restoration was not possible in the previous batch, Dave asked about the importance of the mule not to dismiss your request, but to determine whether it might warrant an exception for earlier handling. From what you initially described (a level 7 mule holding scrolls), it didn’t come across as a particularly important restoration. We understand it's frustrating to wait, and I am sorry that it hasn't been dealt with yet. But please keep in mind that our staff are doing their best to juggle many moving parts (especially around a major event like Anniversary). That includes managing support, moderation, bug reports, and backend tasks, all of which take precedence over character restorations.
Thank you Heidi, This was literally all I needed to know as I was not sure if it will be done since Dave is no longer responding. Yes, I knew this from my initial post, which as I stated somewhere before, that I waited a month before asking for a possible update. So I understand this sentiment 100% and do/did not expect more. I, as well as many others I'm sure, are very appreciative of you guys restoring characters deleted by accident. I understand that my mule isn't a particularly important restoration in the greater scheme of things. I did not even know that there was a possible exception for earlier handling until several messages after Dave asked if I had anything of importance on my mule. Hence this whole thread that Dave could have been more clear in his questions. I'm to lazy to double check at this point, but I believe I mentioned I don't mind waiting. I appreciate you taking the time to respond as such, and like I mentioned above, I do know there is a lot going on, especially since it's Anni like you said. I appreciate you spending the time to respond, which also meant you guys needed to read the whole thread to do so.
