Why do you have to lower your graphics to not get dc/d? I noticed when i left my graphics all the way up the only negative was not seeing zak but i don't find it a negative because i'm assuming you still can attack him regardless of seeing him cause he just sits in the middle. However when i did this lowering graphics thing which is rediculous because you risk death, i remember on the 3rd body of a zrun i did with sadist and tainted, Danery's i did what they said by lowering my graphics but i still Dc/d. But the very first time i did Zak i didn't dc and my graphics were all the way up.
Doing gfx (graphics down 1 setting for every time zak "dies" (last arm, then every body) prevents a common d/c issue. I don't know why this is, but it was like this forever in EMS (and presumably GMS) too. Personally I've never used it, and have never d/ced at zak (other than when my net has died while doing zak)
