Solved [Solution Given] An Error Ocurred while trying to copy a file: The source file is corrupted.

I've tried:

Restarting;
Reinstalling;
Adding maplestory / installer as exception in windows defender + firewall;
Updating video card;
Re-downloading and then reinstalling everything;
Removing windows defender and firewall completely;




No luck.

 

I can ignore this step and start the game, but it just gives me this error on the login page:

Its a firewall exception thing

I also included it in the firewall rules multiple time, for some reason I cant paste an image now.

I added everything into a single screen shot, but even tho I have the entire folder as exception on windows defender, the installer and the exe.

 

I'm having this issue with 9th May 2026 download files. Any fix?

My folder exclusion is right, since I have them at the same location for a number of years now.

Edit: Ignore me. Re-downloaded and it works now
