I've never had a strict uniform policy in a school before. I was always a bit jealous of the more preppy looking uniforms and thought it looked professional in terms of middle and high schoolers. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like sifting through all my clothes day after day and wracking my head on what to wear.
If I was back in grade school, I would be super excited on a day off, but now that I'm in high school, I cringe everything I hear or see reports of these kinds of strikes. These situations really hit home because I have huge respects for teachers and have ever considered becoming one myself.
I honestly agree, I'm an international Baccalaureate Student entering grade 12, and planning to go to the best university in the area, as I am a top student for Chemistry, Physics, and Math. However, as of now all I can do is study at home, and it's a real shame because I do believe teachers need better benefits, my teachers at least. I also believe there are teachers out there that are undeserving of all this, it's really about the balance I guess.
