What's the level of Balrog head? My full STR DK (lvl 90) is getting 95k EXP, while my 254 STR 222 INT Marauder (lvl 95, 3rd job bucc) is getting 256k EXP. If a low level char party with other people (high level), it won't be as rewarding as high level chars because it's getting much less EXP.
The increased drop rate for PAC is a good thing, but that alone doesn't make me want to go. So you're saying the probability for the pad stat isn't a bug?
"Increased the droprate of Pink Adventurer Cape from Balrog Boss rewards." https://royals.ms/forum/threads/update-96-11-09-25.249695/
add tokens of teamwork to balrog pq and maybe u can do a double shoulder event (like CWK MoN during Halloween) once the stats get fixed
Balrog is a boss that dispels buffs frequently and regularly casts DR that not only reflects physical damage, but also magic damage, and it bypasses magic guard resulting in instant death. It also casts zombify which causes priest's heal to deal self-damage that bypasses magic guard resulting in instant death, and it uses the same animation as DR while being impossible to react to. Priests trying to make themselves useful by *correctly* reading the DR animation and instinctively casting heal will be met with a nasty surprise. All this on top of the mage classes having the worst single-target DPS out of all the classes. i can't imagine the thought process behind this, like the devs can clearly see how mages severely underperform in lategame bossing content, and they had a chance to design a boss battle where mages could potentially be less worthless than usual, but instead they doubled down like "THIS is the price you pay for being good at farming monsters 30 levels below you in 4th job"
Hello, regular rog vip seller here. It only casts zombify at around below 20%, so before then it's always damage reflect. I've duod atker with a mage alt of mine. If you pause attacking when you see the orange circle and wait to see what he casts (dr or zomb) you can react accordingly after. He has an attack that's a purple circle on his chest. If you always assume it dispels you then get ready to recast magic guard, you will live. They talked about it being a good intro to harder late game bosses. Dm me if you have any questions about the boss. I've run it probably over 100 times by now
This is not a good intro to "harder" late game bosses because there isn't a single boss in the game, lategame or otherwise, that is more anti-mage than this. The combination of dispel, zombify, and instadeath magic DR is completely unique to this boss, and they say that it's designed to be an introduction to party bossing content? I am not posting in this thread because I am personally having trouble with balrog on a mage and I am not asking for advice. I can survive balrog on a mage, but I have never done a balrog run with randoms where their mage successfully survived to the end. I am posting because I think it is stupid that the boss is designed to specifically counter the weakest class in the game. That is all.
