It's clearly been a long enough time since the last reply so I'm going to make another shorter and simpler defense post. You said previously: The macro you're banned for however isn't related to the meso dropping, its something you dubbed as: 'telecasting' in your chat history where you claim you press a button and it plays a series of keys which you use for leech selling on your mage where you claim to be hitting an additional wave of monsters timed perfectly with your macro software upon their respawn time. Now if you notice where I underlined, you say that I was banned for using this macro to sell leech. I already brought this point up earlier but it seems to have been a topic you avoided responding to. Now in what way, is my lvl 105 mage able to sell leech? Simply put it can't, why would anyone buy this it's a waste of their time and mine. So if i wasn't banned for the meso drop, which I have admittedly used as well as simply provided a screen shot for, but rather for a macro that I have not been able to use to any benefit in this game, but merely have, you give reason to believe that you are banning me for simply having the macro and not using it for its intended purpose. How is this a justifiable ban on your part when you say yourself that the macro I used was not what caused my ban?
We appreciate your feedback on making it more clear in our terms and conditions on what's allowed and what isn't in regards to Macroing / rebinding keys and we will consider adding more information about those topics however as it currently stands you broke the following rule: Game Hacking - The act of using or benefiting from any third-party program, macro program or otherwise defacing or modifying any part of the game software to gain any sort of advantage over other players, or otherwise selling, advertising, distributing or posting information related to the act. Punishment: Permanent ban. Your chat logs indicate that you're well aware of your macro's being beneficial to your play style in addition to you mentioning in-game that you use tele-casting macros on your Fire Poison mage to cast poison mist and teleport in one-button actions with the use of third party software. I underlined the parts of the game hacking rule you broke to make sure there are no misunderstandings.
Could you develop on how using it is an advantage when it comes to casting mist? This is where your explanation on the use of macros is up to interpretation. You underlined it yourself by stating that they can't be used to gain an advantage. I'll admit, I can now see an advantage when it comes to selling leech because you can sell it for slightly more money (after doing some digging in the forums I have seen people saying those that use telecasting sell for more). However, unlike using the ultimate magic for mages, meteor, gen, blizzard, any other skill does not lock you in place. This is no exception to using fog. I am still able to properly teleport before or after casting the spell with no penalty on my character aside from not being able to walk. Regardless of how the skills are used for fogging, there is no effort that needs to be exerted when using teleport with fogging compared to how I have seen people talk about how it can be tricky to telecast with the ultimate skills. Given this, there is no real advantage to using the program for this given example, since there is no animation lock that can be circumvented by teleporting at the same time as casting the ultimate spell. With or without the program, the result is the same for both parties in this case regardless of the scenario. If anything, it might save me about 1-2 seconds when I would still need to wait 40 seconds for the fog to fully damage the mobs before I finish them off. Both parties still wait just as long, so where is the advantage in this case?
as you described in game and in your ban appeal, there is an advantage to having a tele-casting third party software macro. You admitted to having them and developing one for meso dropping as well. This is what you're banned for.
If you read my appeals correctly, yes I admitted to having them, however I have stated that the benefit to the telecasting macro only applies in this case to selling leech, since there are certain restrictions that can influence its effect as well as there being a benefit I myself recently found after digging through forums. This benefit, once again, only presents itself when selling leech since people who don't telecast sell for, from what I've found, 35m versus 40m for those who do. Now I have also stated that, as well as having pointed it out by the areas you yourself underlined in your own retort against me, that the use of macros in your T&C comes with the condition of it having to create an advantage over other players. Now I feel the need to say that I did not mention the advantage to their advantage in game, only to the saving of effort. I only mentioned here that there is a potential advantage to them after I did some digging around the forums for information that most of the player base would not even know about (much like myself until recently). However, this one benefit I have brought to light in this appeal shouldn't even be considered since I have stated many, many times, my character was only level 105 and could not have sold leech to even utilize it to an advantage wherein I would be able to leech for more money. I've even stated previously how even using this macro wouldn't technically be an advantage over other players due to the availability and simplicity of the program, but I'll play along and go with the flow of things for the sake of argument. As for the developing a meso dropping macro, that isn't quite what I would describe it considering I even put in a screenshot in my first post... it's really the most simplest thing ever it's nothing grandiose that you seem to make it out to be. Based on the wording of your T&C, there is nothing that I have done to this point that would be considered having an advantage and therefore being liable for the permanent ban. Had I actually leeched and received compensation for the action whilst using the macro, then I admit, I clearly see where you are coming from and would accept the punishment. However, as I have not taken part in that action, I have not used it in anyways that would bring about such an advantage and therefor make me liable for this ban.
