Best character for making money that doesn't require HP washing? (not planning on selling leech!)

In GMS, merching was a much bigger deal. You could make billions because people were starving for money and the community was insanely big.
In royals it's a bit different imo. People are more famillar with the market and get steady income from farming/leeching or simply voting.
It was also a privilege to own a store permit in GMS.
Do whatever you feel is best for you. I kinda hate this regimen of having to create a mage then farm your life off just to build your main character.

 

Merching was actually less important for me. I've made much more from scrolling than from merching, unlike most people I knew who actually made 99.99% of their character from merching. Like you said, we do have a steady income on this server just from NPCing stuff, selling leech or voting so lack of merching is no big deal for me. I actually prefer Royals to old GMS because of that.

And you don't have to grind like a maniac to open your main character. My highest (and my first) character is my level 90 hermit I can easily start washing now and fund some decent gear for him, or open a Drk which will hit 30k hp before 150-140 easily. Sila also started washing her NL around 90 and she is doing fine at bosses.

I'm just a perfectionist and enjoy making money/scrolling/farming more than just leveling and doing boss runs. This is the only reason I'm going to even open my mage.

 

As long as its not different in new source. Make a bishop/Arch mage and sell leech. Very good for making money.
You can window mode and watch a movie while you leech.
Very efficient

 

Well I wouldve suggested these old options there was unlimited APQ which was fun & a real good meso maker but I think it got capped to 2x a day now. Then there was unlimited dep stars so if you got lucky enough to get a Toe from BF itd be an easy 170m but thats gone too now. Sure making a mage is a good consistent way of Mesos but Tbh it looks travail imo. Your best bet is going through the fm & profiting off of others mistakes & getting lucky @ gacha until you can HT.

 

I would have to disagree with you on the last point. HT is by no means a efficient and reliable way to make money. There were many runs i've been to and barely broke even with the cost of apples due to shitty drops. Sure I have made mesos from HT runs but what I'm trying to get at it is a inconsistent way to make mesos overall.

 

i was able to make 1.7bil my first month of royals merching starting with 0 mesos... all my nx went to AP reset to wash my drk

Also just wanted to point out to someone's post about "hate the idea of making a mage to fund your main character". I started my NL as my first character. Make your first character for fun, learn how the server works, learn how things work in general. Worry about being "perfect" later. I didn't HP wash my NL much and I'm still fine at 195 with just 8k HP. I managed to get a perfect claw without needing to farm my life away or sell leech. I just played the game for the sake of playing the game, and enjoyed myself. If you like bossing, then make a bossing character! If you like merching, then do that. If you like mages or bishops, then go for it. Do what you want. Your first character doesn't have to be a NL with 13k HP and perfect gear.

 

And here im sitting with a cleric that i don't even enjoy!

"On the paper" and judging by pure statistics and odds that's correct what you said. But as someone who has scrolled a lot of stuff myself and funded lots of characters in GMS this way, I can call that horrible luck judging by my own results and my own experience with scrolling items for profit. Maybe I'm just lucky. But this is my own experience, nothing more. You can try it sometimes and see for yourself
