I have the memory of a goldish and I was thinking, would it be possible to implement some kind of individual tracker for people to check which bosses they're on CD for on each character (if that makes sense)? I can never remember if I did Shao/HT/other bosses before or after reset Sorry if this was already requested before!
This was suggested many, many times. Here is what I believe to be the most recent: Click Here I'll quote what I posted in that thread here. Again, I don't see why this can't be a feature, and I've not seen any "good" opposing argument.
Very interesting proposal but I don't know if it's an easy implementation. I personally would like to see an NPC not only telling you about the boss tracker but also telling you the milestones of the boss hunt (e.g. how many times you have conquered zak/krex...) Of course, it would take time to look into the possibility before we can promise anything
this would actually be really easy via a quest window. at reset, you get a lightbulb (also a good way to confirm reset) and you get a "quest" prompt that just says like "enter zakums altar 0/2, defeat zakum 0/2" , and all the other available (to your level) bosses. when you enter a boss map, or when one dies, it would simply say "enter zakums altar 1/2, defeat zakum 1/2", "enter zakums altar 2/2, defeat zakum 2/2" in your quest window no new npc or extra work. just write a new quest prompt and flag the daily bosses in them. if you enter a map and/or they die, counters goes up on your quests. its all right there for players in the quest ui. press q and voila. it could come from the 4th job instructors, since they talk to you about the big bosses idk. there would be no reward for the "quest", but this would be a super simple way to track them internally, exactly how players asked for. then again it could also give you a reward, might as well throw some fame/tokens at ppl who complete all their boss dailies? what about guild points as well? a few gp per member (at least two) if an expedition has the same guild members. (+1 gp per member?) dailies are only twice a day for a few bosses so they still wouldn't strictly be better than gpq. smol concept as for a total records/stats tracker like kenny mentioned, dailar or the rememberer should be in charge of that. and yes i will accept a green trixter (or mimic) icon as an honorary dev, ty
jus click it...... everyone clicks thousands of things when they play. im just making the most dev friendly, simplified suggestion that delivers exactly what is being asked for with the built in ui possible it also wouldn't strictly have to have a lightbulb, it could just automatically refresh in your quest log at reset, under whatever category it appears +[job], or it's own +[daily/bossing?]
also just a /command such as "/daily" that will display your "dailies"info , since it's stored somewhere. example, type /daily, and it will readout: "voted: yes piece of cracked dimension: yes papalatus 2/2 zakum 0/2 ht potion: no ht: 1/2 cwk: 2/2 ruel: yes" ~etc
There are too many bosses to consider in a chat window, i think the option of making it as a quest without reward, will be better, You can choose at the quest window which boss to check instead of having to read through all the bosses in the game, there is also Shao, Chao, Krex, Ephenia and several more
yeah i agree the quest window would be great, much more convenient and user friendly. the /command idea was just an idea
I think I'd prefer a command over a quest setup, a command would be the best option to check dailies while not being intrusive to players (a recurring lightbulb is intrusive). What about a command that opens an NPC with dialogue listing available bosses? That way, using the command won't annihilate what's in the chat box.
you wouldn't have to include the light bulb though since its not technically a quest, quest window is just a super convenient way to track all that info in one place, and can update itself after you enter a room, or vote, or kill shao etc.
Instead of the quest window, I'd prefer it to either be a command, or be implemented in the Event tab of the medal UI: The quest log is cluttered for a lot of people and would just be clunky, whereas this would be much quicker to navigate. Would this be possible, along with resetting the counts every reset? (No lightbulb please.)
