You could cast demo twice a minute with no animation time. I would white shads with better gear than me in vl and solo Shao on stopper faster than my dk on apple. Bucc was op/still is strong. They needed a nerf, the nerf was just not fully thought out
Still nawt op :c Kek, you can do so much more than just casting demo twice with no animation tho. Also let it be known single transformation cancels still exist. For example you can still double shockwave or shockwave into dragonstrike, just the combos where you end on Demolition or Snatch have been taken away. This is why I argue the skill ceiling was raised by the way Super Transform was. I understand this isn't a fighting game, but for me, coming from fighting games, taking away the ability to cancel and get rewarded for it just pains me. And this was the only class I actually enjoyed. I also don't agree with the way they nerfed buccs, but for most people and the philosophy they want to adhere to, I get it.
This isn't a technical game with deliberate animation cancels. You can still animation cancels on transform cast too. A free 8000% damage (2x demo) every minute is a little op
Well, actually, it's Demo into Barrage into Demo. Not demo into demo, or at least that is the inferior combo. But as I said, I get it; it's just sad because for me this was the actual reason I made a bucc and joined this server. Outside of Bucc, there is no other class I liked because this class had deliberate cancels.

Personally, I think the idea to make bucc more dynamic and less braindead is a correct approach. Anything that makes multi-attacking harder is an AMAZING change. However, this 60s downtime brings major issues in several scenarios. As some players already mentioned, stationary single target remained pretty much the same, you just switch to barrage+ds until your super transformation comes back. Problems begin when fighting against multiple enemies, especially in LHC & RG, specific boss situations like unreachable zak and ht arms or dunas ship and also when both ST & bubble are down. You're basically not a class at this point. Might aswell go afk for 60s. The only change I can think off the top of my head right now is making snatch available in normal state or buffing energy orb to be relevant with dragon strike. It definitely shouldn't stay like it is now.
After reading comments here I was thinking "maybe I'm over reacting" I went to ht to test it. Yep it's just bad, nothing much to say, def not 97-98% for sure. if nothing is done I can say rip bucc, dragon strike arms while trying to charge bubble with transformation on cd, enjoy the jump quests.
Seems like there are many experienced Bucc players here, so I’d genuinely appreciate it if anyone can explain this to me. So far, it feels like most of those who favor the change are along the lines of “it’s nt that bad,” but I hvnt reli seen anyone explain how to properly play around these situations in actual content. For example, ive done 2 days of Auf since the change, and my runs went from around 1.5 hours to over 1.8 hours. as for RG — my average kill count dropped from around 400+ mobs in 25 minutes to around 300+ in 25 minutes. Of course, this is only based on 2 days so far, but the impact feels pretty noticeable. So when people say the change isn’t that bad, I’m struggling to see how that matches actual gameplay.
