Minor Cake Disappear after Papulatus

When Papulatus(2) was killed by corkscrew blow, i saw cakes at moment but they do not spawn and disappear, also i couldn't get candles.
it occured two times (7/3's my pap), after that i killed pap with demolition and cakes spawned and drop candles.

 

it occuerd again, killing with dragon strike. what happen?

 

This has happened to me twice now as well, right after using barrage. Not really sure whats going on, they spawn after killing pap but then they sort of just fall off the map.

Just tried again but this time finished with demolition and the cakes all spawned correctly.

 

Same thing happened when I killed Pap with my corsair.

 

hmm i noticed this was a recurring issue in previous years as well

 

Try killing it when its higher in the air, maybe when it flies low, the cake spawns underground?
Second theory is that the map reached max lvl of mob spawns, try to clear out some of the lower bombs to leave some room for the cakes

 

It seems to happen only for pirate...?? My friends, not pirate, said that it didn't happen.

I see, but i killed it without bombs certainly
I gonna try killing in high air tomorrow, ty for advice!
