To be completely honest I don't see how especially if you're one hand bw user training without speed infusion (assuming your profile picture is your pally holding a mace). BW has lower average damage compared to sword, and is slower than most swords. What I said above was the conclusion I drew after using sword pally, sword hero, and hybrid drk. Yes I do own all three 4th job warriors on maple royals. Don't really understand what you're trying to say.
You mentioned that damage% is irrelevant at end-game levels of equipment; for those like me and others who have not reached that or are not close, it very much is relevant. Being able to do 1750% total damage across 5 mobs or 2100% across 6 mobs is still greater than 1560% across 3 mobs. Having an extra 80% damage increase from Oblivion being weak to ice isn't too bad either (30% from the charge itself, 50% from the weakness bonus). I feel like that'd be enough to make up for the inconsistent damage of BW's (I've done the calculations before; it's not as bad as I thought, but the slower speed is still a little bad). And rarely are there platforms that don't have 5 plus enemies on them; usually there's a nice group of 8-15 on the larger ones after going through with Rush. I've also had the comparison of duo training with the other warrior classes; never have I felt like I was behind or unable to keep up. I could always take my time. I am agreeing with you that under the conditions of all warriors at their end-game, Paladins are not comparably superior at mobbing, and that I am open for that to change but I don't really mind either way.
The one hit example was just an illustration or an example. I look at it from another angle. Instead of looking at the % damage dealt listed from the skill, I look at how many hits total you need to kill the monster you're training. The reason I said % is irrelevant is because each weapon has different multiplier, each job skill are calculated differently, and the weapon attack speed plays a big part as well. For an example excluding weapon mastery which is common among warrior classes, paladin has elemental charge and elemental multiplier when attacking an target that's weak to certain element. Hero has advance combo attack ACA and drk has beholder and berserk. 1h sword, 2h sword, 1h bw, 2h bw, spear, and polearm all have different weapon multiplier. You cannot only look at the % number listed on the attack skill to determine who is "stronger" or "better" mobber. It gets really convoluted so I simply only look at how many hits it take to kill the same mob consistently with each class and compare it that way. I never said hero/drk is significantly better than paladin where the gap is night and day. The gap is there but it's not very noticeable between drk/hero and paladin when it comes to mobbing but trust me it is there. The whole point of this thread from the beginning is that paladin need some TLC and QoL since other jobs are on par or better at everything paladin can do, while at the same time there are a lot of stuff paladin are left out due to the poor legacy design of the game plus mapleroyals' lv 135+ only leeching/bossing game meta.
I know it's the number of hits that matters, but the % damage among other things determines how many. If all things were equal among say an underfunded Sword Hero and Sword Paladin, having a higher total % damage from a skill kind of implies that the total amount of hits to kill a certain group of mobs is either equal or less. I suppose you haven't outright stated it, but it looked like you were implying that at even underfunded and equal equipped warriors, both DrK and Hero were still superior at mobbing, even if at a negligible amount. That was my point of disagreement. Could Paladins be better at it? For sure. I just don't like the under selling of them.
I'm not trying to under sell paladin. I'm really passionate about it that's the reaon I'm still replying. I want to see more people play this class because it's a really fun class. Believe or not I like my paladin better than my NL.
