Comparing the most current price guide to previous ones, I would say prices on most scrolls and equips are pretty stagnant for the most part. Where are you seeing a significant drop in prices? The top 10% of this server holds in excess of over 50B+ each, the bottom 50% of this server hold way less then that. If you think a few red envelope and wish tickets are going to " ruin the market " you're not seeing the bigger picture. Those that started 2+ years ago benefited from the influx of meso from RWT and hackers. A guy that started 6 months ago compared to another player that started a year ago stands little chance in having buying power on the market. You can't tax (drop rate penalty) everyone the same across the board. Those that benefited from RWT and hackers keeps the value of said items in the market high because obvi they can make the purchase. In turn you're seeing this huge gap in wealth from old vs new players. Idk what the solution is, but this ain't it.
Look at any price same time last year. Last year prices on consumables and perf weapon. I'll give a few examples: Overall int 30 24m Shield Matt 30 45m Claw 30 18m Almost any perfect level 100 weapon was 22-24b Prices before red envelope event this year Overall int 30 <15m Shield Matt 30 <27m Claw 30 <10m Perfect level 100 weapon <19b This trend shows the market is saturated i.e. prices drop. There is more being created than consumed and thus deflation. Everybody talking about equality from previous events but that's not the point. The point is if you don't keep things in check you continue the trend of power creep. Yes, the last two years were over powered. Yes, the players during that event benefitted heavily from it. Yes, it should had been handled the first year, but it wasn't. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be handled now. Plus everyone throwing in assumptions on hackers/rwters based solely off speculation and no factual data need to get off the straw mans...
Yes, the market is saturated. but for most of the part, int scrolls plummeted due to trio duku, and claw due to wish tickets, again not red envelopes which is the focus of this thread. And B>119 KC 19b paying in bcoins and cs
Can I get any sort of data that int scrolls plummeted due to trio Duku? Every year attack scrolls would drop 40% and work their way back up in price from wish tickets over 6 months so not going to take it as wish tickets are the sole issue for attack scrolls. And nice found essentially the only exception with king cent due to the uprise of bucc meta in the last year. And yes, this is completely on topic with red envelope of this thread as in talking about the caustic effect of flooding the market with meso and nx from this event is bad. Tlr this event is a huge contributing factor to market saturation and deflation while yes other things are also issues.
I think the largest reason for those numbers and market current state is from covid population boom. The demand was higher. I remember buying a perf craven for 19b like in 2019? Population is getting stable now and the people who profited most from Covid pop boom have lots of mesos. One Example: the Zakum chaos scroll scare, dropped cs to about 300-350m and i bought up a ton and waited till they went back up just 3 weeks later. Easy stonks. Market debate aside, nerfing shit is annoying as hell for the players. Whether they feel like its needed or not. The changes that have been made are not working and only lowering player count. And lowering player count further saturates market. I would just make the players happy in this case. CNY was fun to farm and then go back to playing after its over. Now its just background noise. The Xmass presents was awesome and had a pretty high drop rate, why is RE so low then? Its confusing.
i think the NERF to the envelopes drop rate by Ultimate skills is good , keep it up. if you revert it just lower the chance of JACKPOTING 5K NX
TOld yOU guys, once a server start to nerf/buff , they wont stop and they will nerf/buff in every patch a little little bit~ GImme gimme MOREEE~!
tbh I like this drop rate of RE. cause it was so broken before. I could farm over 500m mesos per hour when it came first time. That made killing this game faster.
Will never understand why more nerfs are being made when 90% of the community is strongly against it , it really sucks and demotivating for a legitimate player to spend TONS of hours farming having to go against some rwter who just can finish their auf helm in what , less than 2weeks? 2 weeks and not one because he has to clean the market from auf scrolls while buying them overly overpriced , and while doing that , ruining the market (FKN GENIUS!!!) , not to mention there are so many obvious rwters out there that actually any gms with experience could be able to tell from ( not really that hard when some idiot claim to have leeched for 10years (the server is not even 10years old yet u dumfk), smega for si as a NL and have 70+set. Oh and i'm sure they've been reported and ignored MONTHS ago already
don't make sense from my point of view, while other ppl are working hard for 30~50 envelopes/h, a random hacker with 1st or 3rd job skill can make 200+ in 1 hour, why nerf farmers while the main problem still there? and this nerf wasn't mentioned in patch notes.
I think people need to actually test opening the envelopes before they can judge the drop rate. With 1k NX cards being added to them, it would be OP NX gains compared to prior years. That's my speculation, however I have not tested them myself yet. That doesn't mean the nerf couldn't be lessened, but it's too short of a time frame to judge so quickly, in my opinion.
A 50% nerf from last year feels quite heavy handed. I would agree with the concerns raised by others when it comes to warriors and pirates "farming" in deep ant tunnel . However, now that Christmas seems to be a farming event balance is surely needed but I would prefer to see something more incremental - something in the range of 10-20% and reevaluating from there
So in a recent post y’all argued that mages are farming class and shouldn’t be buffed to be made a bossing class as this would be wayyy to advantageous if they were able to do both. But y’all keep nerfing mage farming in all the not-so-subtle ways you can find so mages are left with absolutely nothing. If mages are a farming class and not fit for bossing, then why are you trying to put them at par (farm-wise) with other classes that can also go bossing as they please? Seems inconsistent to me.
I've been leeching a character in skeles with my I/L for an hour and got 6 envelopes total, including 2 from firecracker mobs. I hopped on my shadower and cleared mobs with bstep for 10 minutes and got 6 envelopes from regular mobs. I agree that the sample size is not that great, but judging also from other people's experience thus far, this nerf feels like way more than 50% reduced chance with Gene/blizz/meteor/roar.
I could somewhat understand the nerf to Genesis (even though my only mage is a bishop), since bishops have awesome utility and can join bosses, but nerfing I/L and F/P mages is a joke. The only thing these classes can do is farming and you're punishing them for wanting to farm... ie. doing the only thing they are able to do? Might as well remove Blizzard and Meteor Shower altogether. Then I/L and F/P won't be able to boss AND won't be able to farm. Which seems to be the goal of the Staff.
