Coming to Check Out the Server

Hey guys, like a lot of you I've been bouncing around the internet for the last few years chasing that nostalgic mmorpg high. I've been playing a private Vanilla WoW server for several months now, but I figured it was time to branch out and see what else I could find. I was an avid Mapler for several years, and since Big Bang, I've come back on the rare occasion, usually for an hour or so, only to be let down time and time again.

I'm here' to give Maple Royals a shot, I'm hoping you'll all be able to give me that hit of nostalgia I'm looking for, though I am worried about some of the increased rates, I'm a purist you could say; but everything else seems great, and it seems like the community here is growing. I guess we'll see. Of course I'll be looking for friends to run with, add me my name will be SinnersMagic like that of my forum.

 

Hey Sinners, I'm sure you'll love it here. For me the lower levels go by a little too fast because of the increased rates but once you get higher level you'll start appreciating it. It's just like playing old school Maple with a 2x exp card and 2x exp event....if you're anything like me, this was the only time we actually trained at higher level back in those old days

Right see what made me realize that the 4x might not be a deal breaker is the memory of how brutal grinding was even in the 40-50 range. I'm thinking the 4x won't be so bad, so might as well give it a try. The 2x drop rates doesn't seem so bad either considering. I do have other concerns though, such as how the NX system works, and also what state the economy is in. Like whats considering a decent sum of money? What are some of the going rates for basic items like maple weapons, work gloves, stars, etc.
