Solved [Solution Given] Crash to desktop after selecting character/entering PIC

Figured it out! Even with BitDefender completely disabled it's vpn-services was still on. I don't own BitDefender's VPN services, so I'm a bit annoyed that this is running on my system 24/7. But, that solved the issue, and I was finally able to get on!

 

Does not work. Have been experiencing this issue a couple of days before the patch/update on 25 May 2020. Back then, I was able to access the game after a few tries. However after the patch/update on 25 May 2020, I am unable to access the game (crashed to desktop after selecting character). I have spent the whole day reinstalling the client using all 3 mirrors, adjusting compatibility settings, rebooting my laptop, following whatever methods mentioned in this forum but to no avail. PLEASE HELP! I believe there are many players who faced the same issue, unsolved, and they quit the game in all.

 

Is this ever going to be fixed? I have to jump through soooooo many hoops to make it work. VPN plus new DLL plus a prayer to my boi jc. Please god, save me from this hell.

 

Hi team, hope we can get a solution to this asap. It is a pain trying to get into game after the character selection. It either took me hours to finally access the game, or I give up trying entirely for that day.

Also, appreciate if you could change the header of this thread as there is no solution for this yet, and this issue is not solved. Really hope your team could work out something for players like us.

 

it does not enter when choosing the character it returns you to the main window please succionen I do not want to depend on anything to enter if before it entered very well without anything

 

there is an odd issue which is that sometimes when i log in i dc right away, and sometimes when i'm in game and exit there is a lag of about 5 seconds, as soon as i exit the game the screen freezes for around 5 seconds, and then it exits normally

Is a fix for this still being worked on? I haven't been able to play consistently because of this bug since the patch which kinda sucks

 

Yeah i'm having the same probably I downloaded these files even at the risk of my pc since it said it had a virus... still didn't work.

 

Hello @Matt I tried the solution you gave but it didn't worked out for me.
I figured out that if i'm playing using network cable the game crashing after PIC section, but when i'm using WiFi of the same network, i'm not facing the problem and the game works just fine.
Do you know what might be the problem?
