Right now my dmg range is only around 6.4k clean and I am not sure what range I should aim for in order to be able to start participating in boss run. So, I would like to ask what damage range for me to be able to participate in: CWKPQ (QUAD AND POTENTIALLY TRIO) ZAKUM (TRIO OR QUAD) SHAO (DUO) KREX (DUO/TRIO) HORNTAILS Thank you in advance.
cwkpq: 10k+ range is a comfortable trio, 8-9k quad if someone's helping you at the bottom works, but honestly any range is fine if you don't mind taking longer in the boss room zak: it doesn't really matter what ur range is in zak? it's a pretty low barrier boss as long as you apple you're good, but you probably don't want to trio unless u have 9-10k range cuz it would take a bit of time (dk great at arms but main body sux). shao: u can duo shao you just have to apple, can start experimenting with stoppers and other attack pots once u hit 7-8k range, depending on who your partner is (if bucc u are strong) krex: i didn't start duo-ing until i was 9-10k and dk kind of sucks in krex cuz we're not good single target but u can trio once ur a bit higher level (170-180) and have 7k+ range ht: i don't really want to give a hard concrete number because it all depends on who else is in the party, who ur going with, people don't always care about ur range, and honestly dk is really good in HT if ur hitting head c / multiple body parts if you are bossing with other newer players or have strong ppl to carry you it doesn't really matter, i don't think i got range checked much but hopefully u can find people to boss with you that don't care about the numbers these numbers are more for finishing in a comfortable time, it's not a hard barrier of entry
This means that I need to gain additional of around 3k range to be able to comfortably join most boss runs...That means I would need to gain quite a few levels. Well now at least I have a goal in mind, really thanks for your breakdown
Additional on what @bibz said don't aim for short runs yet, just go on 5-full party bosses until you reach a higher range. For shao you can duo it already with a buccaneer, you'll end it with 1-3 minutes on the timer. Cwkpq you can go on a 5 man party chill run, I'm dialy doing those kind of parties and I dont really do range check since I'm trying to make them mid tier friendly so anyone can join and get some bon/mon, I do recommend to have a sign mule at least for it. Zakum just go quad with a CR mule in the party, you'll be fine. I wouldn't take a drk to krex as duo unless it's lines are 40-42k because yea, they kinda sucks at single target and can make it ~10mins longer (that's 2 more apples for both runs or 30-40 stoppers) I'm not into HT yet so I can't tell you about it. One last recommendation would be to chill and enjoy the game, there's not pleasure on going to a 3 man run with everybody controlling 2 mules, at least not for me lol
