This bug has been in this server for as long as i've been here. i don't remember if it worked like this in gms, but its definitely not how debuffs need to work. im sure any person here who bossed even once have noticed that all the debuffs in the game take around 2 seconds to go from being affected to the animation of the debuff showing up, and the chat message showing up. it can range from a mild annoyance of missing a few attacks if you aren't paying attention, to missing a critical rebuff like mg/hb/meso guard. so while it existed for a long time, i never saw someone asking if this is fixable or not so.... is it fixable?
I particularly find the delay between getting my skills sealed and the lock/msg showing up to be aggravating. I'm grateful you made this post.
I always wanted to report this bug but I keep forgetting. I will forward this to the developer to take a look!
hmmm this has been bothering me for a while. but I always thought it's due to network latency. Can anyone from UK confirm this delay between debuff effect and debuff icon?
This is actually how it worked in gms, I remember this clearly but it would be nice if the debuff message and icon would actually appear at the same time as getting the debuffs
Boss buffs such as the dojo panda's damage reflect also show up visually later than they take effect. Not sure if this is related to the visual delay of seal or darken.
This is actually GMS-like behaviour, but will investigate if it can be modified for QoL rather than authenticity. No promises however!
