    Use the search function. This has been debated before. 4x is enough, and there likely won't be any 8x events. Why so serious? You joined on Thursday, and you want to spend less time on lvling? Some people have dedicated over a year to this server, and you don't hear them complaining.

    Before you suggest anything else, please use the search function; whatever it is you have on your mind, it's likely already been put up for discussion.

    8x exp is too much. If anything, 1.2x or 1.5x at most would be sufficent, but it isn't. They are trying to fix it to be a bit more resistant to attacks, that itself should be your compensation.

    Wow some people. GMs are working hard dealing with server attacks and they are wanting EXP compensation. For what? Like, be happy that when the server is back up that you can play it. Smh.

    How do you know this? As a fact, not rumors.

    And to be entirely fair, if the ridiciously high monthly goal isn't reached that's simply because the source isn't performant. Which sets the 'goal' too high.

    I don't know for sure if it's still the case, but it's been stated by matt and other staff members in previous threads where the subject has come up and I don't see any reason to disbelieve them. Of course donations could have increased since the last time the subject was raised. That, I don't know for sure.

    I've never paid for a server before, but I can't imagine that royals being attacked or the event generating lag affects that cost, so I'm not sure what performance has to do with anything.

    We are still being attacked while we and LSN try to work on sorting out the IP addresses, things are taking longer than planned and the downtime may very well continue into tomorrow.

    It really is sad, knowing there are people out there who have nothing better to do than anonymously attack innocent games and ruin everyone else's good times. Someone should do a psychological study on these people and find out what compels them to become such pathetic, attention-seeking babies.

    On that note - Staff, you have our full support. Don't let anyone tell you that you "owe" us anything. If anything, we owe you for providing us with so many wonderful times and the opportunity to enjoy Maple the way it was intended to be played.

    This is good. I'd rather have the server down for a full 48 hours or more even, and have it up running much smoother than it was previously than having to face with the constant crashes that we have been for the last few days (or weeks even).
