Aw you got me, although I wasn't really trying to hide that message. If you'd look better the real message is the waste of donation monney on a too high 'goal'. That's what I was saying in other, more subtle, words. This has also been said by other people who have experience on the matter.

 

I think the only true compensation is to give us all max mesos and 1000x EXP for the next week. And I think the admins should start donating to us. Who wants to start up a Kickstarter? And why don't you just get a perfect server, already? It's entirely within your ability to fix all these problems instantly. I WANT CAKE NOW!

The amount of snarky and pretentious comments in this thread is astounding. You only need to say "begging for compensation is disrespectful" once, no need to be disrespectful yourselves.

 

The people in this thread "demanding" compensation, go outside and breathe some fresh air. The server isn't your main focus or purpose in life, and if it is I feel sorry for you.

They are doing the best they can, the can't help that assholes don't take a break from having no life and ruining fun for other people.

It's a GAME, get over it.

 

You need to take a step back and count to 10. You have been waiting for a free service....do you demand compensation when facebook or twitter go down for a few hours? No, so stop your whining.

It's precious moments like these, when the server is offline and the community is cramped together in the forums, that I realize I cant stand about 90% of you makes me warm inside

As the old saying goes, time is money, and you sure spend a lot of your time on here making negative comments, so the only person I see who's wasting anything is you... wasting your time trying to make people feel inadequate. Whether the goal is too high or not, we donate our money and our time because we support the server, not for any other reason.

 

I have figured out that you can also edit the end of your "c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts" file if you're receiving the unresolved DNS issue or the C++ runtime issue.

Steps include *either do this as admin or normal user*:
1)opening "c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts" with notepad
2) adding "72.20.52.180 (tab) www.royals.ms royals.ms"

below the last lines

3)saving this file without ANY extension.

[3a) if saving fails, save a copy in your documents folder.]
[3b) run cmd prompt as admin, launch Explorer]
[3c) Move Copy from 3a's location in Documents to c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/" and replace the file]

4) check royals.ms to see if it loads, or run royals.
5) Enjoy and pass on the knowledge to another Royaler in need!
