Hey! I haven't played Maplestory in so many years, heard of this server and wanted to come back to try. I'm going to make a Bishop as I had one way way way back in the day. As a "new" player, what's a piece of advice you would recommend to learn everything that old school Maplestory has to offer? Training guides? Any advice you think is worth it. I want to come back and engage with the community, find a guild and relive many memories from this game.
Welcome to Royals Firstly, my advice won't be very professional and is just a personal opinion based on experience. Mages including Bishop is supposed to be all INT in Royals(Mage's endgame wand does not require luk). Thankfully we have a complete guide about either training or leeching. Generally, there are two key uses of the bishop (for selling leech and Holy Symbol). If you made up mind to create a bishop first, decide whether you want to build bishop completely or use it a bridge for the next step, attackers (About investing). Bishop is very expensive for new players, so I recommend the latter. The Bishop's Guide for reference can be found here. I hope you have good memories in Royals.
Just want to ask a question, can you get quest specialist/virtuoso if you start questing after 120? I'm only 290/800 for the next one and just wondering if I can make it.
The difficulty level varies widely depending on whether you have never done level restricted/hidden quests before or to what extent you have done it. Including Maple Island, There are many easy level restricted quests below 120. Specialist: In my humble opinion, it is not very difficult, Regardless of whether you have never done level restricted/hidden quests before 120. Virtuoso: I believe is also possible, but sorry, I can't tell you for sure how many extra quest there is. Be sure to do all of the missable quests. Check this guide for hidden quests!
Hi there - I have quitted Royals for like 18 months, reason: failed MW 20 by 1 time and gene 30 by 2 times (LV137 BS). I'd burnt 6b+ for 3 skill books, and I had sold low level leech for like few months to earn these mesos back then (although it's pennies), but I think it worth the time if I got the sb passed. I had fall from sky to hell, got very very upset and disappointed over the "luckiness" on my character, this is the reason I quitted Royals. I couldn't sleep well and was very very depressed that time. I only have a bishop and all I want to achieve is getting MW20 and gene 30 passed, so I can start to sell leech at ulu2 and slowly to skele. I still missed Royals, and it's my childhood memories, this is the reason to make me come back - all I want is just to get my base ready, before I can move to the next step - attackers etc. I sincerely hope that you could lend me a hand by getting these two SBs passed. I knew very clearly it is not an easy request for you, so I would not blame you even if you rejected my request. Kindly let me know if you are willing to help me out...
